चतुः पञ्चाशदक्षैस्तु हृच्छ्रेष्ठा हि प्रकीर्तिता ॥ इत्येवं मालया कुर्याज्जपं कस्मै न दर्शयेत् ॥ ४१ ॥
The fifty-four Dakṣas have described the heart as the best of all. One should thus chant the mantra with a garland and show it to no one.
english translation
catuH paJcAzadakSaistu hRcchreSThA hi prakIrtitA ॥ ityevaM mAlayA kuryAjjapaM kasmai na darzayet ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकनिष्ठा क्षरिणी प्रोक्ता जपकर्मणि शोभना ॥ अंगुष्ठेन जपेज्जप्यमन्यैरंगुलिभिस्सह ॥ ४२ ॥
The use of little finger in the Japa shall be avoided. In the act ot Japa it is held to be auspicious. The Japa shall be performed by means of the thumb in contact with other fingers.
english translation
kaniSThA kSariNI proktA japakarmaNi zobhanA ॥ aMguSThena japejjapyamanyairaMgulibhissaha ॥ 42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअंगुष्ठेन विना जप्यं कृतं तदफलं यतः ॥ गृहे जपं समं विद्याद्गोष्ठे शतगुणं विदुः ॥ ४३ ॥
If Japa is performed without the thumb it is futile. If performed in the house it is ordinarily efficacious. If performed in the cowpen it is hundred times more.
english translation
aMguSThena vinA japyaM kRtaM tadaphalaM yataH ॥ gRhe japaM samaM vidyAdgoSThe zataguNaM viduH ॥ 43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुण्यारण्ये तथारामे सहस्रगुणमुच्यते ॥ अयुतं पर्वते पुण्ये नद्यां लक्षमुदाहृतम् ॥ ४४ ॥
In a holy forest or park it is thousand times more. On a holy mountain it is ten thousand times more. On the banks of a river it is hundred thousand times more.
english translation
puNyAraNye tathArAme sahasraguNamucyate ॥ ayutaM parvate puNye nadyAM lakSamudAhRtam ॥ 44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकोटिं देवालये प्राहुरनन्तं मम सन्निधौ ॥ सूर्यस्याग्नेर्गुरोरिंदोर्दीपस्य च जलस्य च ॥ ४५ ॥
They say that there are millions of people in the temple who are infinite in My presence. The sun, fire, spiritual master, Indra, lamp and water are all the same.

koTiM devAlaye prAhuranantaM mama sannidhau ॥ sUryasyAgnerguroriMdordIpasya ca jalasya ca ॥ 45 ॥
