पञ्चाक्षरप्रभावेण लोकवेदमहर्षयः ॥ तिष्ठंति शाश्वता धर्मा देवास्सर्वमिदं जगत् ॥ २१ ॥

It is the efficacy of the five-syllabled mantra where by the worlds, the Vedas, the sages, the eternal virtues, the entire universe, and the gods stand steady.

english translation

paJcAkSaraprabhAveNa lokavedamaharSayaH ॥ tiSThaMti zAzvatA dharmA devAssarvamidaM jagat ॥ 21 ॥

प्रलये समनुप्राप्ते नष्टे स्थावरजंगमे ॥ सर्वं प्रकृतिमापन्नं तत्र संलयमेष्यति ॥ २२ ॥

At the advent of dissolution when the mobile and immobile beings perish, everything becomes merged in its cause.

english translation

pralaye samanuprApte naSTe sthAvarajaMgame ॥ sarvaM prakRtimApannaM tatra saMlayameSyati ॥ 22 ॥

एको ऽहं संस्थितो देवि न द्वितीयो ऽस्ति कुत्रचित् ॥ तदा वेदाश्च शास्त्राणि सर्वे पञ्चाक्षरे स्थिताः ॥ २३ ॥

sanskrit

O goddess, I am the only one staying then. There is no second one anywhere. Then all the Vedas, scriptures etc. are stationed in the five-syllabled mantra.

english translation

eko 'haM saMsthito devi na dvitIyo 'sti kutracit ॥ tadA vedAzca zAstrANi sarve paJcAkSare sthitAH ॥ 23 ॥

ते नाशं नैव संप्राप्ता मच्छक्त्या ह्यनुपालिताः ॥ ततस्सृष्टिरभून्मत्तः प्रकृत्यात्मप्रभेदतः ॥ २४ ॥

Protected by my Śakti they do not perish. The creation is evolved out of me differently through the Prakṛti and the Ātman.

te nAzaM naiva saMprAptA macchaktyA hyanupAlitAH ॥ tatassRSTirabhUnmattaH prakRtyAtmaprabhedataH ॥ 24 ॥

गुणमूर्त्यात्मनां चैव ततोवांतरसंहृतिः ॥ तदा नारायणश्शेते देवो मायामयीं तनुम् ॥ २५ ॥

Then the difference between the modes of nature and the self is withdrawn. At that time Lord Nārāyaṇa lies down in His illusory body.

guNamUrtyAtmanAM caiva tatovAMtarasaMhRtiH ॥ tadA nArAyaNazzete devo mAyAmayIM tanum ॥ 25 ॥
