वैराग्याज्जायते ज्ञानं ज्ञानाद्योगः प्रवर्तते ॥ ३६ ॥
Detachment gives birth to knowledge. Knowledge facilitates the functioning of Yoga.

योगज्ञः पतितो वापि मुच्यते नात्र संशयः ॥ दया कार्याथ सततमहिंसा ज्ञानसंग्रहः ॥ ३७ ॥
A person who knows yoga is undoubtedly liberated even if he falls down Compassion is the work of constant violence and the accumulation of knowledge.

सत्यमस्तेयमास्तिक्यं श्रद्धा चेंद्रियनिग्रहः ॥ ३८ ॥
Truthfulness, stealing, faithfulness, restraint of the senses.

अध्यापनं चाध्ययनं यजनं याजनं तथा ॥ ध्यानमीश्वरभावश्च सततं ज्ञानशीलता ॥ य एवं वर्तते विप्रो ज्ञानयोगस्य सिद्धये ॥ ३९ ॥
Teaching, studying, performing sacrifices and performing sacrifices. Meditation and consciousness of the Lord are always the cultivation of knowledge. A brāhmaṇa who thus conducts himself in this way is perfect in the process of transcendental knowledge.

अचिरादेव विज्ञानं लब्ध्वा योगं च विंदति ॥ दग्ध्वा देहमिमं ज्ञानी क्षणाज्ज्ञानाग्निना प्रिये ॥ ४० ॥
Very soon one attains enlightenment and attains the perfection of yoga. O dear one, a wise person should instantly burn this body with the fire of knowledge.
