न तस्य कारणं कर्ता नादिरंतस्तथांतरम् ॥ न कर्म करणं वापि नाकार्यं कार्यमेव च ॥ ६ ॥
He has no cause or maker; he has no beginning no end nor the intervening space. He has no activity or instrument. He has neither Akārya nor Kārya.
english translation
नास्य बंधुरबंधुर्वा नियंता प्रेरको ऽपि वा ॥ न पतिर्न गुरुस्त्राता नाधिको न समस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥
He has neither kinsman nor non-kinsman; he has no one to check or to urge. He has no lord, preceptor or protector. He has no superior or equal.
english translation
न जन्ममरणे तस्य न कांक्षितमकांक्षितम् ॥ न विधिर्न निषेधश्च न मुक्तिर्न च बन्धनम् ॥ ८ ॥
He has neither birth nor death; neither expectation nor disinclination. He is not subject to injunctions or prohibitions; he has neither liberation nor bondage.
english translation
नास्ति यद्यदकल्याणं तत्तदस्य कदाचन ॥ कल्याणं सकलं चास्ति परमात्मा शिवो यतः ॥ ९ ॥
He never has anything not conducive to welfare or inauspicious. He has everything auspicious since Śiva is the great Ātman.
english translation
स शिवस्सर्वमेवेदमधिष्ठाय स्वशक्तिभिः ॥ अप्रच्युतस्स्वतो भावः स्थितः स्थाणुरतः स्मृतः ॥ १० ॥
Presiding over everything by means of his Śaktis, he is stationed without dropping his intrinsic nature. Hence he is known as Śiva.
