त्वयैव विततं सर्वं व्याप्तं सृष्टं न नाशितम् ॥ न हि त्वदधिकाः केचिदीशास्ते ऽच्युतकादयः ॥ ४१ ॥

Everything is spread and pervaded by you alone, created and destroyed by you alone. Viṣṇu and other lords are not superior to you.

english translation

tvayaiva vitataM sarvaM vyAptaM sRSTaM na nAzitam ॥ na hi tvadadhikAH kecidIzAste 'cyutakAdayaH ॥ 41 ॥

वायुरुवाच ॥ तं तथा व्याकुलं भीतं प्रलपंतं कृतागसम् ॥ स्मयन्निवावदत्प्रेक्ष्य मा भैरिति १ घृणानिधिः ॥ ४२ ॥

Vāyu said:— The lord, the storehouse of mercy glanced at the guilty one who was emotionally distressed and smilingly said “Do not fear”.

english translation

vAyuruvAca ॥ taM tathA vyAkulaM bhItaM pralapaMtaM kRtAgasam ॥ smayannivAvadatprekSya mA bhairiti 1 ghRNAnidhiH ॥ 42 ॥

तथोक्त्वा ब्रह्मणस्तस्य पितुः प्रियचिकीर्षया ॥ गाणपत्यं ददौ तस्मै दक्षायाक्षयमीश्वरः ॥ ४३ ॥

Saying so and with a desire to please his father Brahmā, the lord bestowed on Dakṣa the imperishable chieftancy of the Gaṇas.

tathoktvA brahmaNastasya pituH priyacikIrSayA ॥ gANapatyaM dadau tasmai dakSAyAkSayamIzvaraH ॥ 43 ॥

ततो ब्रह्मादयो देवा अभिवंद्य कृत २ ंजलिः ॥ तुष्टुवुः प्रश्रया वाचा शंकरं गिरिजाधिपम् ॥ ४४ ॥

Then Brahma and other gods saluted the lord with palms joined in reverence. In words of humility they eulogised the lord.

tato brahmAdayo devA abhivaMdya kRta 2 MjaliH ॥ tuSTuvuH prazrayA vAcA zaMkaraM girijAdhipam ॥ 44 ॥

ब्रह्मादय ऊचुः ॥ जय शंकर देवेश दीनानाथ महाप्रभो ॥ कृपां कुरु महेशानापराधं नो क्षमस्व वै ॥ ४५ ॥

Brahmā and others said:— O Śiva, O lord of the gods of the distressed and the helpless, O great lord, be merciful, forgive our guilt.

brahmAdaya UcuH ॥ jaya zaMkara deveza dInAnAtha mahAprabho ॥ kRpAM kuru mahezAnAparAdhaM no kSamasva vai ॥ 45 ॥
