उत्पाट्य चोत्पाट्यगृहाणि केचित्सजालवातायनवेदिकानि ॥ विक्षिप्य विक्षिप्य जलस्य मध्ये कालांबुदाभाः प्रमथा निनेदुः ॥ ४१ ॥
Some looking like the black clouds uprooted the houses, windows, daises, hurled them into water and roared.

उद्वर्तितद्वारकपाटकुड्यं विध्वस्तशालावलभीगवाक्षम् ॥ अहो बताभज्यत यज्ञवाटमनाथवद्वाक्यमिवायथार्थम् ॥ ४२ ॥
The doors, door-frames and walls of the sacrificial mansion were upset; the windows, ceiling frames, the halls were destroyed utterly. The complete edifice of sacrifice crumbled helplessly like a statement without foundation.

हा नाथ तातेति पितुः सुतेति भ्रतर्ममाम्बेति च मातुलेति ॥ उत्पाट्यमानेषु गृहेषु नार्यो ह्यानाथशब्दान्बहुशः प्रचक्रुः ॥ ४३ ॥
While houses were being dismantled, the women shrieked and cried helplessly “O husband” “O Child” “O father” “O brother” “O mother” “O uncle.”
