धनुर्भृतां वरः शूरो विप्रर्षिस्सर्वशास्त्रवित् ।। बृहत्कीर्तिर्महातेजा यः सर्वास्त्रविदुत्तमः ।। ३ ।।

sanskrit

He was the foremost among the archers, heroes, a brahminical sage, well-versed in all lore, of great fame and brilliance and the most excellent of all the wielders of weapons and missiles.

english translation

dhanurbhRtAM varaH zUro viprarSissarvazAstravit || bRhatkIrtirmahAtejA yaH sarvAstraviduttamaH || 3 ||
