पार्वत्युवाच ॥ यदि प्रसन्नो देवेश मह्यं देयो वरो यदि ॥ पतिर्भव ममेशान कृपां कुरु ममोपरि ॥ ६ ॥
Pārvatī said:— O lord of gods, if you are delighted, if a boon shall be granted to me, O Śiva, you be my lord and husband. Please take pity on me.
english translation
pArvatyuvAca ॥ yadi prasanno deveza mahyaM deyo varo yadi ॥ patirbhava mamezAna kRpAM kuru mamopari ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपितुर्गृहे मया सम्यग्गम्यते त्वदनुज्ञया ॥ गन्तव्यम्भवता नाथ मत्पितुः पार्श्वतः प्रभो ॥ ७॥
With your permission I shall go to my father’s abode. O lord, you shall approach my father.
english translation
piturgRhe mayA samyaggamyate tvadanujJayA ॥ gantavyambhavatA nAtha matpituH pArzvataH prabho ॥ 7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयाचस्व मान्ततो भिक्षुः ख्यापयंश्च यशः शुभम् ॥ पितुर्मे सफलं सर्वं कुरु प्रीत्या गृहा श्रमम्॥ ८॥
In the form of a mendicant and making your spotless fame known, beg me of my father and make the householder’s life fruitful.
english translation
yAcasva mAntato bhikSuH khyApayaMzca yazaH zubham ॥ piturme saphalaM sarvaM kuru prItyA gRhA zramam॥ 8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो यथोक्तविधिना कर्तुमर्हसि भो प्रभो ॥ विवाहं त्वं महेशान देवानां कार्य्यसिद्धये ॥ ९॥
O lord Śiva, it behoves to marry me with due rites for the fulfilment of the task of the gods.
english translation
tato yathoktavidhinA kartumarhasi bho prabho ॥ vivAhaM tvaM mahezAna devAnAM kAryyasiddhaye ॥ 9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकामं मे पूरय विभो निर्विकारो भवान्सदा ॥ भक्तवत्सलनामा हि तव भक्तास्म्यमहं सदा ॥ १० ॥
O lord, you are without aberrations. Please fulfil my desires. You are favourably disposed to the devotees. I am always your devotee.

kAmaM me pUraya vibho nirvikAro bhavAnsadA ॥ bhaktavatsalanAmA hi tava bhaktAsmyamahaM sadA ॥ 10 ॥
