Shiva Purana
एतत्पृष्टः पुरा नन्दी शिवमूर्तिस्सतां गतिः ॥ सनत्कुमारेण मुने तमुवाच शिवं स्मरन् ॥३॥
O sage, formerly, Nandin, a form of Śiva and of the good, when asked by Sanatkumāra, told him the narrative with devotion to Siva.
english translation
etatpRSTaH purA nandI zivamUrtissatAM gatiH ॥ sanatkumAreNa mune tamuvAca zivaM smaran ॥3॥
