सीतारूपमहं धृत्वा गच्छेयं रामसन्निधौ ॥ यदि रामो हरिस्सर्वं विज्ञास्यति न चान्यथा ॥४६॥
I shall assume the form of Sītā and shall go to him. If Rāma is Viṣṇu, he will know it and otherwise not.
english translation
sItArUpamahaM dhRtvA gaccheyaM rAmasannidhau ॥ yadi rAmo harissarvaM vijJAsyati na cAnyathA ॥46॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्थं विचार्य सीता सा भूत्वा रामसमीपतः ॥ आगमत्तत्परीक्षार्थं सती मोहपरायणा ॥ ४७ ॥
Deciding like this she who was deluded by Śiva became Sītā and went there to test him.
english translation
itthaM vicArya sItA sA bhUtvA rAmasamIpataH ॥ AgamattatparIkSArthaM satI mohaparAyaNA ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसीतारूपां सतीं दृष्ट्वा जपन्नाम शिवेति च ॥ विहस्य तत्प्रविज्ञाय नत्वावोचद्रघूद्वहः ॥४८॥
On seeing Satī, in the guise of Sītā, Rāma the scion of Raghu’s race repeated the name Śiva, realised the truth and laughed. He bowed to her and said.

sItArUpAM satIM dRSTvA japannAma ziveti ca ॥ vihasya tatpravijJAya natvAvocadraghUdvahaH ॥48॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराम उवाच ॥ प्रेमतस्त्वं सति ब्रूहि क्व शंभुस्ते नमोगतः ॥ एका हि विपिने कस्मादागता पतिना विना ॥ ४९ ॥
Rāma said: O Satī, Obeisance to you. Where has Śiva gone? Please tell me affably. How is it that you have come here alone without your husband?
english translation
rAma uvAca ॥ prematastvaM sati brUhi kva zaMbhuste namogataH ॥ ekA hi vipine kasmAdAgatA patinA vinA ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्यक्त्वा स्वरूपं कस्मात्ते धृतं रूपमिदं सति ॥ ब्रूहि तत्कारणं देवि कृपां कृत्वा ममोपरि॥2-2-24-५०॥
O goddess Satī, why have you cast off your own form and assumed this guise? Take pity on me and tell me the reason thereof.

tyaktvA svarUpaM kasmAtte dhRtaM rUpamidaM sati ॥ brUhi tatkAraNaM devi kRpAM kRtvA mamopari॥2-2-24-50॥
