खड्गी त्रिशूली लकुटी कपर्दी चतुर्भुजो गौरतराकृतिर्हि ॥ भस्मानुलिप्तो विलसत्सुतेजास्तपस्विवर्योऽद्भुतसर्ववेशः ॥ ४१ ॥
He wields a sword. He holds a trident and a staff. This fair-complexioned four-armed sage of matted hair has smeared ashes over his body. His splendour is dazzling and his dress and features are wonderful.

khaDgI trizUlI lakuTI kapardI caturbhujo gauratarAkRtirhi ॥ bhasmAnulipto vilasatsutejAstapasvivaryo'dbhutasarvavezaH ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्याविदूरे पुरुषश्च दृष्टस्स वानरो घोरमुखःकरालः ॥ सर्वायुधो रूक्षकरश्च रक्षन्स्थितो जरद्गोवृषभश्च शुक्लः ॥४२॥
Not far from him, another person was seen. He has simian features, very terrible in face and demeanour. Equipped with weapons his hands are rough and brawny. He is the guard on duty. There is a white bull, too old but firm and steady.

tasyAvidUre puruSazca dRSTassa vAnaro ghoramukhaHkarAlaH ॥ sarvAyudho rUkSakarazca rakSansthito jaradgovRSabhazca zuklaH ॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्योपविष्टस्य तपस्विनोपि सुचारुरूपा तरुणी मनोज्ञा ॥ नारी शुभा पार्श्वगता हि तस्य दृष्टा च काचिद्भुवि रत्नभूता ॥४३॥
A woman of very auspicious features, young and beautiful was seen at the side of that sage. She is a gem under the sun.

tasyopaviSTasya tapasvinopi sucArurUpA taruNI manojJA ॥ nArI zubhA pArzvagatA hi tasya dRSTA ca kAcidbhuvi ratnabhUtA ॥43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रवालमुक्तामणि हेमरत्नवस्त्रावृता माल्यशुभोपगूढा ॥ सा येन दृष्टा स च दृष्टिमान्स्याद् दृष्टेन चान्येन किमत्र कार्यम् ॥४४॥
She is richly bedecked in corals, pearls, jewels gold gems and is dressed neatly. Her necklaces are fine and auspicious. He who has seen her can alone be called a man of sight. Of what awaits the sight of anything else?

pravAlamuktAmaNi hemaratnavastrAvRtA mAlyazubhopagUDhA ॥ sA yena dRSTA sa ca dRSTimAnsyAd dRSTena cAnyena kimatra kAryam ॥44॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमान्या महेशस्य च दिव्यनारी भार्य्या मुनेः पुण्यवतः प्रिया सा ॥ योग्या हि द्रष्टुं भवतश्च सम्यगानाय्य दैत्येन्द्र सुरत्नभोक्तः ॥ ४५ ॥
O lord of Daityas, enjoyer of good jewels, that divine lady, wife and the beloved of that meritorious sage, is worthy of being seen and fetched here.

mAnyA mahezasya ca divyanArI bhAryyA muneH puNyavataH priyA sA ॥ yogyA hi draSTuM bhavatazca samyagAnAyya daityendra suratnabhoktaH ॥ 45 ॥
