एकेन निहतास्सर्वे शक्राद्या निर्जरास्तथा ॥ शंकरस्य गणाश्चैव व्याकुलाः अभवंस्तदा ॥५१॥
Indra and other gods were struck by him, singlehanded. The Gaṇas of Śiva became agitated and distressed then.
english translation
ekena nihatAssarve zakrAdyA nirjarAstathA ॥ zaMkarasya gaNAzcaiva vyAkulAH abhavaMstadA ॥51॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ सर्वे मिलित्वा ते निश्श्वस्य च मुहुर्मुहुः ॥ परस्परं समूचुस्ते तत्प्रहारसमाकुलाः ॥ ५२ ॥
Gasping frequently for their breath, being utterly shaken by his blows they gathered together and spoke to one another.
english translation
atha sarve militvA te nizzvasya ca muhurmuhuH ॥ parasparaM samUcuste tatprahArasamAkulAH ॥ 52 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवगणा ऊचुः ॥ किं कर्तव्यं क्व गंतव्यं न ज्ञायंते दिशो दश ॥ परिघं भ्रामयत्येष सव्यापसव्यमेव च ॥ ५३ ॥
The gods and Gaṇas said: What shall be done? Where should we go? The ten directions have become visible. He is whirling the iron club right and left.
english translation
devagaNA UcuH ॥ kiM kartavyaM kva gaMtavyaM na jJAyaMte dizo daza ॥ parighaM bhrAmayatyeSa savyApasavyameva ca ॥ 53 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मोवाच ॥ एतत्कालेऽप्सरश्रेष्ठाः पुष्पचन्दनपाणयः ॥ ऋषयश्च त्वदाद्या हि येऽतियुद्धेतिलालसाः ॥५४॥
Brahmā said: In the meantime the excellent nymphs came there with flowers and sandal paste in their hands.

brahmovAca ॥ etatkAle'psarazreSThAH puSpacandanapANayaH ॥ RSayazca tvadAdyA hi ye'tiyuddhetilAlasAH ॥54॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते सर्वे च समाजग्मुर्युद्धसंदर्शनाय वै ॥ पूरितो व्योम सन्मार्गस्तैस्तदा मुनिसत्तम ॥ ५५ ॥
You and other gods who were eager to witness the fight came there. O excellent sage, the excellent pathway of the firmament was entirely filled by them.

te sarve ca samAjagmuryuddhasaMdarzanAya vai ॥ pUrito vyoma sanmArgastaistadA munisattama ॥ 55 ॥
