दुर्गांगस्पर्शमात्रेण लीलया मूर्च्छितः शिवः ॥ मूर्च्छिता सा शिवस्पर्शाद्बुबुधे न दिवानिशम् ॥१६॥
In that divine sport at the mere contact with Pārvatī, Śiva lapsed in unconsciousness. She too lapsed into unconsciousness due to the contact with Śiva. She neither knew the day nor the night.
english translation
durgAMgasparzamAtreNa lIlayA mUrcchitaH zivaH ॥ mUrcchitA sA zivasparzAdbubudhe na divAnizam ॥16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहरे भोगप्रवृत्ते तु लोकधर्म प्रवर्तिनि ॥ महान् कालो व्यतीयाय तयोः क्षण इवानघ॥१७॥
When Śiva following the worldly way began his enjoyment of pleasures, O sinless one, a great length of time passed by as though it was a mere moment in their awareness.
english translation
hare bhogapravRtte tu lokadharma pravartini ॥ mahAn kAlo vyatIyAya tayoH kSaNa ivAnagha॥17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ सर्वे सुरास्तात एकत्रीभूय चैकदा ॥ मंत्रयांचक्रुरागत्य मेरौ शक्रपुरोगमाः ॥१८॥
Then, O dear, Indra and the gods gathered together on the mountain Meru and began their mutual discussion.
english translation
atha sarve surAstAta ekatrIbhUya caikadA ॥ maMtrayAMcakrurAgatya merau zakrapurogamAH ॥18॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुरा ऊचुः ॥ विवाहं कृतवाञ्छंभुरस्मत्कार्यार्थमीश्वरः॥ योगीश्वरो निर्विकारो स्वात्मारामो निरंजनः॥१९॥
The gods said: It is for the fulfilment of our task that Lord Śiva, the leader of Yogins, free from aberrations, the unsullied, revelling and resting in his own Self, has married.
english translation
surA UcuH ॥ vivAhaM kRtavAJchaMbhurasmatkAryArthamIzvaraH॥ yogIzvaro nirvikAro svAtmArAmo niraMjanaH॥19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनोत्पन्नस्तनयस्तस्य न जानामोऽत्र कारणम्॥ विलंबः क्रियते तेन कथं देवेश्वरेण ह॥2-4-1-२०॥
No son is born to Him. We do not know the reason. How is it that the lord of gods is delaying the action?

notpannastanayastasya na jAnAmo'tra kAraNam॥ vilaMbaH kriyate tena kathaM devezvareNa ha॥2-4-1-20॥
