    आत्मजायासुतागारपशुद्रविणबन्धुषु । राज्ये चाविकले नित्यं विरूढां ममतां जहौ ॥ २-४-२ ॥AtmajAyAsutAgArapazudraviNabandhuSu । rAjye cAvikale nityaM virUDhAM mamatAM jahau ॥ 2-4-2 ॥Mahārāja Parīkṣit, as a result of his wholehearted attraction for Lord Kṛṣṇa, was able to give up all deep-rooted affection for his personal body, his wife, his children, his palace, his animals like horses and elephants, his treasury house, his friends and relatives, and his undisputed kingdom. ।। 2-4-2 ।।

Satrughna, behold this mountain frequented by kinneras and abounding in animals like great crocodiles in the ocean. ॥ 2-93-11॥

    तुरङ्गौघैरवतता वारणैश्च महाजवैः । अनालक्ष्या चिरं कालं तस्मिन्काले बभूव भूः ॥ २-९३-५turaGgaughairavatatA vAraNaizca mahAjavaiH । anAlakSyA ciraM kAlaM tasminkAle babhUva bhUH ॥ 2-93-5At that moment, a multiutde of swift horses and elephants spread out with great speed and the surface of the earth became invisible for a long time. ॥ 2-93-5॥
