हरिं॑ मृजन्त्यरु॒षो न यु॑ज्यते॒ सं धे॒नुभि॑: क॒लशे॒ सोमो॑ अज्यते । उद्वाच॑मी॒रय॑ति हि॒न्वते॑ म॒ती पु॑रुष्टु॒तस्य॒ कति॑ चित्परि॒प्रिय॑: ॥ हरिं मृजन्त्यरुषो न युज्यते सं धेनुभिः कलशे सोमो अज्यते । उद्वाचमीरयति हिन्वते मती पुरुष्टुतस्य कति चित्परिप्रियः ॥

sanskrit

They cleanse the green-tinted (Soma); he is harnessed like a swift horse; the Soma is combined in the pitcher with the products of the kine. He utters a sound, (the worshippers) send forth praise; how many (boons) abundantly delightint the utterer of many praises (does Soma bestow).

सा॒कं व॑दन्ति ब॒हवो॑ मनी॒षिण॒ इन्द्र॑स्य॒ सोमं॑ ज॒ठरे॒ यदा॑दु॒हुः । यदी॑ मृ॒जन्ति॒ सुग॑भस्तयो॒ नर॒: सनी॑ळाभिर्द॒शभि॒: काम्यं॒ मधु॑ ॥ साकं वदन्ति बहवो मनीषिण इन्द्रस्य सोमं जठरे यदादुहुः । यदी मृजन्ति सुगभस्तयो नरः सनीळाभिर्दशभिः काम्यं मधु ॥

sanskrit

Many wise men utter praise together, when they have milked the Soma into Indra's belly, when fair-armed men cleanse the delightful exhilarating juice with their ten united (fingers).

english translation

sA॒kaM va॑danti ba॒havo॑ manI॒SiNa॒ indra॑sya॒ somaM॑ ja॒Thare॒ yadA॑du॒huH | yadI॑ mR॒janti॒ suga॑bhastayo॒ nara॒: sanI॑LAbhirda॒zabhi॒: kAmyaM॒ madhu॑ || sAkaM vadanti bahavo manISiNa indrasya somaM jaThare yadAduhuH | yadI mRjanti sugabhastayo naraH sanILAbhirdazabhiH kAmyaM madhu ||

अर॑ममाणो॒ अत्ये॑ति॒ गा अ॒भि सूर्य॑स्य प्रि॒यं दु॑हि॒तुस्ति॒रो रव॑म् । अन्व॑स्मै॒ जोष॑मभरद्विनंगृ॒सः सं द्व॒यीभि॒: स्वसृ॑भिः क्षेति जा॒मिभि॑: ॥ अरममाणो अत्येति गा अभि सूर्यस्य प्रियं दुहितुस्तिरो रवम् । अन्वस्मै जोषमभरद्विनंगृसः सं द्वयीभिः स्वसृभिः क्षेति जामिभिः ॥

sanskrit

Unceasing, the Soma goes to mix with the products of the kine, he utters a cry dear to the daughter of the sun. The praiser brings delight to him; he is united to the two kindred sisters (the hands).

english translation

नृधू॑तो॒ अद्रि॑षुतो ब॒र्हिषि॑ प्रि॒यः पति॒र्गवां॑ प्र॒दिव॒ इन्दु॑ॠ॒त्विय॑: । पुरं॑धिवा॒न्मनु॑षो यज्ञ॒साध॑न॒: शुचि॑र्धि॒या प॑वते॒ सोम॑ इन्द्र ते ॥ नृधूतो अद्रिषुतो बर्हिषि प्रियः पतिर्गवां प्रदिव इन्दुॠत्वियः । पुरंधिवान्मनुषो यज्ञसाधनः शुचिर्धिया पवते सोम इन्द्र ते ॥

Shaken by the men, expressed by the stones, the delight (of the gods), the lord of cattle, ancient, distilling (in the vessels) born in due season, (the Soma is plural ced) on the sacrd grass; intelligent, the material of the sacrifice of man, pure, the Soma flows for you, Indra,of his own accord.

नृबा॒हुभ्यां॑ चोदि॒तो धार॑या सु॒तो॑ऽनुष्व॒धं प॑वते॒ सोम॑ इन्द्र ते । आप्रा॒: क्रतू॒न्त्सम॑जैरध्व॒रे म॒तीर्वेर्न द्रु॒षच्च॒म्वो॒३॒॑रास॑द॒द्धरि॑: ॥ नृबाहुभ्यां चोदितो धारया सुतोऽनुष्वधं पवते सोम इन्द्र ते । आप्राः क्रतून्त्समजैरध्वरे मतीर्वेर्न द्रुषच्चम्वोरासदद्धरिः ॥

Urged by the arms of men, poured forth in a stream the Soma flows for you, Indra, for strength; you accomplish the rites, you overcome enemies at the sacrifice; the green-tinted Soma rests upon the cups like a bird perching on a tree.
