सखा॑य॒ आ नि षी॑दत पुना॒नाय॒ प्र गा॑यत । शिशुं॒ न य॒ज्ञैः परि॑ भूषत श्रि॒ये ॥ सखाय आ नि षीदत पुनानाय प्र गायत । शिशुं न यज्ञैः परि भूषत श्रिये ॥
Sit down, friends, sing to the filtered Soma, decorate him with offerings to beautify him as (parents decorate) a child.

समी॑ व॒त्सं न मा॒तृभि॑: सृ॒जता॑ गय॒साध॑नम् । दे॒वा॒व्यं१॒॑ मद॑म॒भि द्विश॑वसम् ॥ समी वत्सं न मातृभिः सृजता गयसाधनम् । देवाव्यं मदमभि द्विशवसम् ॥
Associate him the support of the mansion with the maternal (waters) as the calf (with the mother) the protector of the gods, the exhilarator, endowed with two fold strength.

पु॒नाता॑ दक्ष॒साध॑नं॒ यथा॒ शर्धा॑य वी॒तये॑ । यथा॑ मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय॒ शंत॑मः ॥ पुनाता दक्षसाधनं यथा शर्धाय वीतये । यथा मित्राय वरुणाय शंतमः ॥
Purify the bestower of strength so that he may make for invigoration for the banquet (of the gods) and may grant much happiness to Mitra and Varuṇa.

अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ त्वा वसु॒विद॑म॒भि वाणी॑रनूषत । गोभि॑ष्टे॒ वर्ण॑म॒भि वा॑सयामसि ॥ अस्मभ्यं त्वा वसुविदमभि वाणीरनूषत । गोभिष्टे वर्णमभि वासयामसि ॥
For us do the hymns glorify you the giver of wealth; we clothe your form with the (products of the) kine.

स नो॑ मदानां पत॒ इन्दो॑ दे॒वप्स॑रा असि । सखे॑व॒ सख्ये॑ गातु॒वित्त॑मो भव ॥ स नो मदानां पत इन्दो देवप्सरा असि । सखेव सख्ये गातुवित्तमो भव ॥
Lord of our exhilaration, Indu, you are of brilliant form; be our true guide as a friend is to a friend.
