गौर्ध॑यति म॒रुतां॑ श्रव॒स्युर्मा॒ता म॒घोना॑म् । यु॒क्ता वह्नी॒ रथा॑नाम् ॥ गौर्धयति मरुतां श्रवस्युर्माता मघोनाम् । युक्ता वह्नी रथानाम् ॥

sanskrit

The cow (Pṛs;ni), the food-desiring mother of the wealthy Maruts, drinks (the Soma)-- she is worthy ofall honour, who yokes (the mares) to their chariots.

english translation

gaurdha॑yati ma॒rutAM॑ zrava॒syurmA॒tA ma॒ghonA॑m | yu॒ktA vahnI॒ rathA॑nAm || gaurdhayati marutAM zravasyurmAtA maghonAm | yuktA vahnI rathAnAm ||

She, in whose presence all the gods observe their functions, and the sun and moon move in peace to enlighten the world.

Therefore all our priests in their worship always sing the Maruts that they may drink the Soma.

This Soma is effused (by us); the self-resplendent Maruts drink of it, and the Aśvins.

Mitra, Aryaman and Varuṇa drink (the Soma), purified by the straining cloth, abiding in three places,and granting posterity.
