पु॒रु॒त्रा हि स॒दृङ्ङसि॒ विशो॒ विश्वा॒ अनु॑ प्र॒भुः । स॒मत्सु॑ त्वा हवामहे ॥ पुरुत्रा हि सदृङ्ङसि विशो विश्वा अनु प्रभुः । समत्सु त्वा हवामहे ॥
You are the lord, you behold all people alike in many plural ces; we therefore invoke you in battles.
english translation
तमी॑ळिष्व॒ य आहु॑तो॒ऽग्निर्वि॒भ्राज॑ते घृ॒तैः । इ॒मं न॑: शृणव॒द्धव॑म् ॥ तमीळिष्व य आहुतोऽग्निर्विभ्राजते घृतैः । इमं नः शृणवद्धवम् ॥
Adore that Agni who shines brightly when fed with offerings of butter, who hears this our invocation.
english translation
तं त्वा॑ व॒यं ह॑वामहे शृ॒ण्वन्तं॑ जा॒तवे॑दसम् । अग्ने॒ घ्नन्त॒मप॒ द्विष॑: ॥ तं त्वा वयं हवामहे शृण्वन्तं जातवेदसम् । अग्ने घ्नन्तमप द्विषः ॥
We invoke you, Agni, who are Jātavedas, listening (to our praises), exterminating our foes.
english translation
वि॒शां राजा॑न॒मद्भु॑त॒मध्य॑क्षं॒ धर्म॑णामि॒मम् । अ॒ग्निमी॑ळे॒ स उ॑ श्रवत् ॥ विशां राजानमद्भुतमध्यक्षं धर्मणामिमम् । अग्निमीळे स उ श्रवत् ॥
I praise this Agni, the sovereign of men, the wonderful, the superintendent of holy acts; may he hear me

अ॒ग्निं वि॒श्वायु॑वेपसं॒ मर्यं॒ न वा॒जिनं॑ हि॒तम् । सप्तिं॒ न वा॑जयामसि ॥ अग्निं विश्वायुवेपसं मर्यं न वाजिनं हितम् । सप्तिं न वाजयामसि ॥
We invigorate like a horse that (Agni) whose might is everywhere present; who is noble, strong, and benevolent.
