घ्नन्मृ॒ध्राण्यप॒ द्विषो॒ दह॒न्रक्षां॑सि वि॒श्वहा॑ । अग्ने॑ ति॒ग्मेन॑ दीदिहि ॥ घ्नन्मृध्राण्यप द्विषो दहन्रक्षांसि विश्वहा । अग्ने तिग्मेन दीदिहि ॥
Slaying the malignant (driving away) our enemies everywhere consuming the rākṣasas, do you, Agniblaze forth with bright (radiance).
english translation
यं त्वा॒ जना॑स इन्ध॒ते म॑नु॒ष्वद॑ङ्गिरस्तम । अग्ने॒ स बो॑धि मे॒ वच॑: ॥ यं त्वा जनास इन्धते मनुष्वदङ्गिरस्तम । अग्ने स बोधि मे वचः ॥
Chief of the Aṅgirasas, whose men kindle as did Manus; Agni, hear my words.
english translation
यद॑ग्ने दिवि॒जा अस्य॑प्सु॒जा वा॑ सहस्कृत । तं त्वा॑ गी॒र्भिर्ह॑वामहे ॥ यदग्ने दिविजा अस्यप्सुजा वा सहस्कृत । तं त्वा गीर्भिर्हवामहे ॥
We worship with praises you, Agni, who are born in heaven or in the waters, elicited by strength.
english translation
तुभ्यं॒ घेत्ते जना॑ इ॒मे विश्वा॑: सुक्षि॒तय॒: पृथ॑क् । धा॒सिं हि॑न्व॒न्त्यत्त॑वे ॥ तुभ्यं घेत्ते जना इमे विश्वाः सुक्षितयः पृथक् । धासिं हिन्वन्त्यत्तवे ॥
All these people, the inhabitants (of the earth), offer severally to you (sacrificial) food for your eatingand enjoyment.
english translation
ते घेद॑ग्ने स्वा॒ध्योऽहा॒ विश्वा॑ नृ॒चक्ष॑सः । तर॑न्तः स्याम दु॒र्गहा॑ ॥ ते घेदग्ने स्वाध्योऽहा विश्वा नृचक्षसः । तरन्तः स्याम दुर्गहा ॥
Agni, through you, may we, skilled in sacrifices and beholding men all our days, pass through (all)difficulties.
