ता वां॒ विश्व॑स्य गो॒पा दे॒वा दे॒वेषु॑ य॒ज्ञिया॑ । ऋ॒तावा॑ना यजसे पू॒तद॑क्षसा ॥ ता वां विश्वस्य गोपा देवा देवेषु यज्ञिया । ऋतावाना यजसे पूतदक्षसा ॥
You two are the protectors of the universe, divine and to be adored among the gods; therefore,(Viśvamanas), you sacrifice to the pair who are observant of truth and endowed with real power.
english translation
मि॒त्रा तना॒ न र॒थ्या॒३॒॑ वरु॑णो॒ यश्च॑ सु॒क्रतु॑: । स॒नात्सु॑जा॒ता तन॑या धृ॒तव्र॑ता ॥ मित्रा तना न रथ्या वरुणो यश्च सुक्रतुः । सनात्सुजाता तनया धृतव्रता ॥
Mitra and Varuṇa, doers of good deeds, (diffusers of) riches, who are the charioteers (of men),well-born of old, the sons, (of Aditi), observant of vows, (you are worshipped by me).
english translation
ता मा॒ता वि॒श्ववे॑दसासु॒र्या॑य॒ प्रम॑हसा । म॒ही ज॑जा॒नादि॑तिॠ॒ताव॑री ॥ ता माता विश्ववेदसासुर्याय प्रमहसा । मही जजानादितिॠतावरी ॥
The great and truthful Aditi, the mother (of the gods), gave birth to those two who are possessed of allaffluence, and shining with great splendour, for the (destruction of the) asuras.
english translation
म॒हान्ता॑ मि॒त्रावरु॑णा स॒म्राजा॑ दे॒वावसु॑रा । ऋ॒तावा॑नावृ॒तमा घो॑षतो बृ॒हत् ॥ महान्ता मित्रावरुणा सम्राजा देवावसुरा । ऋतावानावृतमा घोषतो बृहत् ॥
The great Mitra and Varuṇa, the two sovereign and powerful deities, the observers of truth, illumine our solemn rite.
english translation
नपा॑ता॒ शव॑सो म॒हः सू॒नू दक्ष॑स्य सु॒क्रतू॑ । सृ॒प्रदा॑नू इ॒षो वास्त्वधि॑ क्षितः ॥ नपाता शवसो महः सूनू दक्षस्य सुक्रतू । सृप्रदानू इषो वास्त्वधि क्षितः ॥
Grandson sof mighty strength, son sof energy, doers of good deeds, liberal benefactors, they presideover the habitation of food.
english translation
