यो विश्वा॒ दय॑ते॒ वसु॒ होता॑ म॒न्द्रो जना॑नाम् । मधो॒र्न पात्रा॑ प्रथ॒मान्य॑स्मै॒ प्र स्तोमा॑ यन्त्य॒ग्नये॑ ॥ यो विश्वा दयते वसु होता मन्द्रो जनानाम् । मधोर्न पात्रा प्रथमान्यस्मै प्र स्तोमा यन्त्यग्नये ॥
To him the invoker of the gods, who ever rejoicing distributes all wealth to men-- to Agni proceed ourpraises like the principal cups of the exhilarating Soma.
english translation
अश्वं॒ न गी॒र्भी र॒थ्यं॑ सु॒दान॑वो मर्मृ॒ज्यन्ते॑ देव॒यव॑: । उ॒भे तो॒के तन॑ये दस्म विश्पते॒ पर्षि॒ राधो॑ म॒घोना॑म् ॥ अश्वं न गीर्भी रथ्यं सुदानवो मर्मृज्यन्ते देवयवः । उभे तोके तनये दस्म विश्पते पर्षि राधो मघोनाम् ॥
The liberal worshippers with their hymns honour you harnessed to the car like a horse; graceful lord ofmen, grant wealth to us rich in children and grandchildren.
english translation
प्र मंहि॑ष्ठाय गायत ऋ॒ताव्ने॑ बृह॒ते शु॒क्रशो॑चिषे । उप॑स्तुतासो अ॒ग्नये॑ ॥ प्र मंहिष्ठाय गायत ऋताव्ने बृहते शुक्रशोचिषे । उपस्तुतासो अग्नये ॥
Singers of hymns, sing aloud to the mighty Agni, most bounteous, observant of truth an dradiant with brightness.
english translation
आ वं॑सते म॒घवा॑ वी॒रव॒द्यश॒: समि॑द्धो द्यु॒म्न्याहु॑तः । कु॒विन्नो॑ अस्य सुम॒तिर्नवी॑य॒स्यच्छा॒ वाजे॑भिरा॒गम॑त् ॥ आ वंसते मघवा वीरवद्यशः समिद्धो द्युम्न्याहुतः । कुविन्नो अस्य सुमतिर्नवीयस्यच्छा वाजेभिरागमत् ॥
The wealthy and glorious (Agni), when invoked and kindled, pours forth on his votaries abundance offood with children; may his ever fresh favour continually come to us with all kinds of food.
english translation
प्रेष्ठ॑मु प्रि॒याणां॑ स्तु॒ह्या॑सा॒वाति॑थिम् । अ॒ग्निं रथा॑नां॒ यम॑म् ॥ प्रेष्ठमु प्रियाणां स्तुह्यासावातिथिम् । अग्निं रथानां यमम् ॥
Praise, singer of hymns, the guest, Agni, the dearest of the dear, the driver of chariots.
