अद॑र्शि गातु॒वित्त॑मो॒ यस्मि॑न्व्र॒तान्या॑द॒धुः । उपो॒ षु जा॒तमार्य॑स्य॒ वर्ध॑नम॒ग्निं न॑क्षन्त नो॒ गिर॑: ॥ अदर्शि गातुवित्तमो यस्मिन्व्रतान्यादधुः । उपो षु जातमार्यस्य वर्धनमग्निं नक्षन्त नो गिरः ॥
He, in whom they offer the sacrifices, has appeared-- he who knows all ways; our praises rise to Agni,auspiciously born, the helper of the Ārya.
english translation
प्र दैवो॑दासो अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॒ न म॒ज्मना॑ । अनु॑ मा॒तरं॑ पृथि॒वीं वि वा॑वृते त॒स्थौ नाक॑स्य॒ सान॑वि ॥ प्र दैवोदासो अग्निर्देवाँ अच्छा न मज्मना । अनु मातरं पृथिवीं वि वावृते तस्थौ नाकस्य सानवि ॥
Agni, when invoked by Divodāsa, ran along the mother Earth as with might, towards the gods; he took his place in the height of heaven.
english translation
यस्मा॒द्रेज॑न्त कृ॒ष्टय॑श्च॒र्कृत्या॑नि कृण्व॒तः । स॒ह॒स्र॒सां मे॒धसा॑ताविव॒ त्मना॒ग्निं धी॒भिः स॑पर्यत ॥ यस्माद्रेजन्त कृष्टयश्चर्कृत्यानि कृण्वतः । सहस्रसां मेधसाताविव त्मनाग्निं धीभिः सपर्यत ॥
Since men tremble before those who perform the sacred sacrifices, therefore, do you devoutly worshipin the solemn rite Agni the bestower of thousands of kine.
english translation
प्र यं रा॒ये निनी॑षसि॒ मर्तो॒ यस्ते॑ वसो॒ दाश॑त् । स वी॒रं ध॑त्ते अग्न उक्थशं॒सिनं॒ त्मना॑ सहस्रपो॒षिण॑म् ॥ प्र यं राये निनीषसि मर्तो यस्ते वसो दाशत् । स वीरं धत्ते अग्न उक्थशंसिनं त्मना सहस्रपोषिणम् ॥
Agni, bestower of dwellings, that mortal whom you wish to lead to wealth, and who gives offerings toyou possess of himself a strong son, a reciter of hymns and a lord of great wealth.
english translation
स दृ॒ळ्हे चि॑द॒भि तृ॑णत्ति॒ वाज॒मर्व॑ता॒ स ध॑त्ते॒ अक्षि॑ति॒ श्रव॑: । त्वे दे॑व॒त्रा सदा॑ पुरूवसो॒ विश्वा॑ वा॒मानि॑ धीमहि ॥ स दृळ्हे चिदभि तृणत्ति वाजमर्वता स धत्ते अक्षिति श्रवः । त्वे देवत्रा सदा पुरूवसो विश्वा वामानि धीमहि ॥
Lord of vast wealth, he (your worshipper) spoils with his steed food laid up even in strongholds, hepossesses imperishable wealth; in you divine we ever possess all desirable treasures.
