जी॒मूत॑स्येव भवति॒ प्रती॑कं॒ यद्व॒र्मी याति॑ स॒मदा॑मु॒पस्थे॑ । अना॑विद्धया त॒न्वा॑ जय॒ त्वं स त्वा॒ वर्म॑णो महि॒मा पि॑पर्तु ॥ जीमूतस्येव भवति प्रतीकं यद्वर्मी याति समदामुपस्थे । अनाविद्धया तन्वा जय त्वं स त्वा वर्मणो महिमा पिपर्तु ॥
When the mailed warrior advances in the front of battles, his form is like that of a cloud; with his body unwounded do you conquer; may the strength of the armous defend us.

jI॒mUta॑syeva bhavati॒ pratI॑kaM॒ yadva॒rmI yAti॑ sa॒madA॑mu॒pasthe॑ । anA॑viddhayA ta॒nvA॑ jaya॒ tvaM sa tvA॒ varma॑No mahi॒mA pi॑partu ॥ jImUtasyeva bhavati pratIkaM yadvarmI yAti samadAmupasthe । anAviddhayA tanvA jaya tvaM sa tvA varmaNo mahimA pipartu ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधन्व॑ना॒ गा धन्व॑ना॒जिं ज॑येम॒ धन्व॑ना ती॒व्राः स॒मदो॑ जयेम । धनु॒: शत्रो॑रपका॒मं कृ॑णोति॒ धन्व॑ना॒ सर्वा॑: प्र॒दिशो॑ जयेम ॥ धन्वना गा धन्वनाजिं जयेम धन्वना तीव्राः समदो जयेम । धनुः शत्रोरपकामं कृणोति धन्वना सर्वाः प्रदिशो जयेम ॥
May we conquer the cattle (of the enemies) with the bow; with the bow may we be victorious in battle may we overcome our fierce-exulting (enemies) with the bow; may the bow disappoint the hope of the foe; may we subdue with the bow all (hostile) countries.

This bowstring, drawn tight upon the bow, and making way in battle, repeatedly approaches the ear (of the warrior), as if embracing its friend (the arrow), and proposing to say something agreeable, as a woman whispers (to her husband).

hk transliteration by Sanscriptते आ॒चर॑न्ती॒ सम॑नेव॒ योषा॑ मा॒तेव॑ पु॒त्रं बि॑भृतामु॒पस्थे॑ । अप॒ शत्रू॑न्विध्यतां संविदा॒ने आर्त्नी॑ इ॒मे वि॑ष्फु॒रन्ती॑ अ॒मित्रा॑न् ॥ ते आचरन्ती समनेव योषा मातेव पुत्रं बिभृतामुपस्थे । अप शत्रून्विध्यतां संविदाने आर्त्नी इमे विष्फुरन्ती अमित्रान् ॥
May the two extremities of the bow, acting in concert, like a wife sympathizing (with her husband), uphold (the warrior), as a mother nurses her child upon her lap; and may they, moving concurrently, and harassing the foe, scatter his enemies.

The quiver, the parent of many, of whom many are the sons, clangs as it enters into the battle; slung at the back (of the warrior), prolific (of its shafts), it overcomes all shouting hosts.
