वृषा॒ मद॒ इन्द्रे॒ श्लोक॑ उ॒क्था सचा॒ सोमे॑षु सुत॒पा ऋ॑जी॒षी । अ॒र्च॒त्र्यो॑ म॒घवा॒ नृभ्य॑ उ॒क्थैर्द्यु॒क्षो राजा॑ गि॒रामक्षि॑तोतिः ॥ वृषा मद इन्द्रे श्लोक उक्था सचा सोमेषु सुतपा ऋजीषी । अर्चत्र्यो मघवा नृभ्य उक्थैर्द्युक्षो राजा गिरामक्षितोतिः ॥

sanskrit

At the rites at which soma (is offered) the exhilaration (produced) in Indra is a shower (of benefits to the offerer); so is the chanted hymn with the (recited) prayer, therefore the drinker of the soma, the partaker of the stale soma, Maghavan, is to be propitiated by men with praises; dweller in heaven, he is the lord of sacred songs, unwearied in the protection (of his votaries).

ततु॑रिर्वी॒रो नर्यो॒ विचे॑ता॒: श्रोता॒ हवं॑ गृण॒त उ॒र्व्यू॑तिः । वसु॒: शंसो॑ न॒रां का॒रुधा॑या वा॒जी स्तु॒तो वि॒दथे॑ दाति॒ वाज॑म् ॥ ततुरिर्वीरो नर्यो विचेताः श्रोता हवं गृणत उर्व्यूतिः । वसुः शंसो नरां कारुधाया वाजी स्तुतो विदथे दाति वाजम् ॥

The surpasser (of foes), a hero, the friend of man, the discriminator, the hearer of the invocation, the great protector of his adorers, the giver of dwelings, the ruler of men, the cherisher of his worshippers, the bestower of food, grants us, when glorified at the sacrifice, (abundant) sustenance.

अक्षो॒ न च॒क्र्यो॑: शूर बृ॒हन्प्र ते॑ म॒ह्ना रि॑रिचे॒ रोद॑स्योः । वृ॒क्षस्य॒ नु ते॑ पुरुहूत व॒या व्यू॒३॒॑तयो॑ रुरुहुरिन्द्र पू॒र्वीः ॥ अक्षो न चक्र्योः शूर बृहन्प्र ते मह्ना रिरिचे रोदस्योः । वृक्षस्य नु ते पुरुहूत वया व्यूतयो रुरुहुरिन्द्र पूर्वीः ॥

Mighty hero, by your magnitude, (the exten) of heaven and earth is exceeded, as the axle by the (circumerfence of the) wheels; invoked of many, your numerous benefits, Indra, spread out like the branches of a tree.

akSo॒ na ca॒kryo॑: zUra bR॒hanpra te॑ ma॒hnA ri॑rice॒ roda॑syoH | vR॒kSasya॒ nu te॑ puruhUta va॒yA vyU॒3॒॑tayo॑ ruruhurindra pU॒rvIH || akSo na cakryoH zUra bRhanpra te mahnA ririce rodasyoH | vRkSasya nu te puruhUta vayA vyUtayo ruruhurindra pUrvIH ||

शची॑वतस्ते पुरुशाक॒ शाका॒ गवा॑मिव स्रु॒तय॑: सं॒चर॑णीः । व॒त्सानां॒ न त॒न्तय॑स्त इन्द्र॒ दाम॑न्वन्तो अदा॒मान॑: सुदामन् ॥ शचीवतस्ते पुरुशाक शाका गवामिव स्रुतयः संचरणीः । वत्सानां न तन्तयस्त इन्द्र दामन्वन्तो अदामानः सुदामन् ॥

Accomplisher of many acts, the energies of you who are (ever) active (congregate from all directions), like the converging tracks of cattle; they are the bonds (of foes), themselves unfettered, munificent Indra, like the tethers of (many) calves.

english translation

zacI॑vataste puruzAka॒ zAkA॒ gavA॑miva sru॒taya॑: saM॒cara॑NIH | va॒tsAnAM॒ na ta॒ntaya॑sta indra॒ dAma॑nvanto adA॒mAna॑: sudAman || zacIvataste puruzAka zAkA gavAmiva srutayaH saMcaraNIH | vatsAnAM na tantayasta indra dAmanvanto adAmAnaH sudAman ||

अ॒न्यद॒द्य कर्व॑रम॒न्यदु॒ श्वोऽस॑च्च॒ सन्मुहु॑राच॒क्रिरिन्द्र॑: । मि॒त्रो नो॒ अत्र॒ वरु॑णश्च पू॒षार्यो वश॑स्य पर्ये॒तास्ति॑ ॥ अन्यदद्य कर्वरमन्यदु श्वोऽसच्च सन्मुहुराचक्रिरिन्द्रः । मित्रो नो अत्र वरुणश्च पूषार्यो वशस्य पर्येतास्ति ॥

Indra achieves one act today, another tomorrow, evil and good repeatedly; may he, and Mitra, Varuṇa, Pūṣan, Arya, be on this occasion promoters of the desired result.
