अग्ने॒ सह॑न्त॒मा भ॑र द्यु॒म्नस्य॑ प्रा॒सहा॑ र॒यिम् । विश्वा॒ यश्च॑र्ष॒णीर॒भ्या॒३॒॑सा वाजे॑षु सा॒सह॑त् ॥ अग्ने सहन्तमा भर द्युम्नस्य प्रासहा रयिम् । विश्वा यश्चर्षणीरभ्यासा वाजेषु सासहत् ॥
Bestow, Agni, upon Dyumna, a son, overcoming foes by his prowess; one who may with glory subdue all men in battle.
english translation
तम॑ग्ने पृतना॒षहं॑ र॒यिं स॑हस्व॒ आ भ॑र । त्वं हि स॒त्यो अद्भु॑तो दा॒ता वाज॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः ॥ तमग्ने पृतनाषहं रयिं सहस्व आ भर । त्वं हि सत्यो अद्भुतो दाता वाजस्य गोमतः ॥
Mighty Agni, grant us a son able to encounter hosts; for you are true and wonderful, and the giver of food with cattle.
english translation
विश्वे॒ हि त्वा॑ स॒जोष॑सो॒ जना॑सो वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः । होता॑रं॒ सद्म॑सु प्रि॒यं व्यन्ति॒ वार्या॑ पु॒रु ॥ विश्वे हि त्वा सजोषसो जनासो वृक्तबर्हिषः । होतारं सद्मसु प्रियं व्यन्ति वार्या पुरु ॥
All men concurring in satisfaction, bearing the clipped sacred grass, solicit you, as the kind invoker of the gods, to the chambers (of sacrifice) for infinite wealth.
english translation
स हि ष्मा॑ वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिर॒भिमा॑ति॒ सहो॑ द॒धे । अग्न॑ ए॒षु क्षये॒ष्वा रे॒वन्न॑: शुक्र दीदिहि द्यु॒मत्पा॑वक दीदिहि ॥ स हि ष्मा विश्वचर्षणिरभिमाति सहो दधे । अग्न एषु क्षयेष्वा रेवन्नः शुक्र दीदिहि द्युमत्पावक दीदिहि ॥
May the (sage) on whom all men rely possess foe-subduing strength; radiant Agni, so shine in our habitation that they may abound in riches; shine, purifying Agni, dispensing light.
