अग्ने॒ त्वं नो॒ अन्त॑म उ॒त त्रा॒ता शि॒वो भ॑वा वरू॒थ्य॑: ॥ अग्ने त्वं नो अन्तम उत त्राता शिवो भवा वरूथ्यः ॥
Agni, who are to be adored, be ever nigh to us, our protector and benefactor; do you, who are the giver of dwellings and dispenser of food, be present with us; bestow upon us most brilliant wealth.
english translation
वसु॑र॒ग्निर्वसु॑श्रवा॒ अच्छा॑ नक्षि द्यु॒मत्त॑मं र॒यिं दा॑: ॥ वसुरग्निर्वसुश्रवा अच्छा नक्षि द्युमत्तमं रयिं दाः ॥
Vasura, Agni, Vasuśravā, Achcha, Nakṣi, Dyumattama, Rayi, Da: Vasura, Agni, Vasuśravā, Achcha, Nakṣi, Dyumattama, Rayi, Daḥ.
english translation
स नो॑ बोधि श्रु॒धी हव॑मुरु॒ष्या णो॑ अघाय॒तः स॑मस्मात् ॥ स नो बोधि श्रुधी हवमुरुष्या णो अघायतः समस्मात् ॥
Understand us, Agni; hear our invocation; defend us from all malevolent (people); most bright and resplendent Agni, we earnestly solicit you for the happiness (of ourselves) and our friends.
english translation
तं त्वा॑ शोचिष्ठ दीदिवः सु॒म्नाय॑ नू॒नमी॑महे॒ सखि॑भ्यः ॥ तं त्वा शोचिष्ठ दीदिवः सुम्नाय नूनमीमहे सखिभ्यः ॥
We’re sure you’ll be able to give us the best of our friends. That you, who are lamenting, are the source of the heavens, and we certainly wish you to be our friend.
