आ न॒ इन्द्रो॑ दू॒रादा न॑ आ॒साद॑भिष्टि॒कृदव॑से यासदु॒ग्रः । ओजि॑ष्ठेभिर्नृ॒पति॒र्वज्र॑बाहुः सं॒गे स॒मत्सु॑ तु॒र्वणि॑: पृत॒न्यून् ॥ आ न इन्द्रो दूरादा न आसादभिष्टिकृदवसे यासदुग्रः । ओजिष्ठेभिर्नृपतिर्वज्रबाहुः संगे समत्सु तुर्वणिः पृतन्यून् ॥
May the illustrious Indra, the granter of desires, come to us, whether from afar or nigh, for our protection; he who is the lord of men, armed with the thunderbolt, overcoming his foes in conflict and in combats, (attended) by the most illustrious (Maruts).
english translation
आ न॒ इन्द्रो॒ हरि॑भिर्या॒त्वच्छा॑र्वाची॒नोऽव॑से॒ राध॑से च । तिष्ठा॑ति व॒ज्री म॒घवा॑ विर॒प्शीमं य॒ज्ञमनु॑ नो॒ वाज॑सातौ ॥ आ न इन्द्रो हरिभिर्यात्वच्छार्वाचीनोऽवसे राधसे च । तिष्ठाति वज्री मघवा विरप्शीमं यज्ञमनु नो वाजसातौ ॥
May Indra, looking down upon us, come with his steeds to our presence for our protection and enrichment; may the mighty thunderer, the possessor of wealth, (aiding us) in battle, be present at this our sacrifice.
english translation
इ॒मं य॒ज्ञं त्वम॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र पु॒रो दध॑त्सनिष्यसि॒ क्रतुं॑ नः । श्व॒घ्नीव॑ वज्रिन्त्स॒नये॒ धना॑नां॒ त्वया॑ व॒यम॒र्य आ॒जिं ज॑येम ॥ इमं यज्ञं त्वमस्माकमिन्द्र पुरो दधत्सनिष्यसि क्रतुं नः । श्वघ्नीव वज्रिन्त्सनये धनानां त्वया वयमर्य आजिं जयेम ॥
You, Indra, plural cing us before you, shall receive this sacrifice, our holy offering; and as the huntsman (kills his game), may we, your worshippers, holder of the thunderbolt, for the acquisition of riches through you to be victorious in battle.
english translation
उ॒शन्नु॒ षु ण॑: सु॒मना॑ उपा॒के सोम॑स्य॒ नु सुषु॑तस्य स्वधावः । पा इ॑न्द्र॒ प्रति॑भृतस्य॒ मध्व॒: समन्ध॑सा ममदः पृ॒ष्ठ्ये॑न ॥ उशन्नु षु णः सुमना उपाके सोमस्य नु सुषुतस्य स्वधावः । पा इन्द्र प्रतिभृतस्य मध्वः समन्धसा ममदः पृष्ठ्येन ॥
Indra, the giver of food, be near to us, favourably disposed; and anxious for our (good), drink of the effused, prepared, exhilarating Soma, and be plural ased by the (sacrificial) food (offered with the noon-day hymn.
english translation
वि यो र॑र॒प्श ऋषि॑भि॒र्नवे॑भिर्वृ॒क्षो न प॒क्वः सृण्यो॒ न जेता॑ । मर्यो॒ न योषा॑म॒भि मन्य॑मा॒नोऽच्छा॑ विवक्मि पुरुहू॒तमिन्द्र॑म् ॥ वि यो ररप्श ऋषिभिर्नवेभिर्वृक्षो न पक्वः सृण्यो न जेता । मर्यो न योषामभि मन्यमानोऽच्छा विवक्मि पुरुहूतमिन्द्रम् ॥
Like a man boasting of his wife, I glorify that Indra who is invoked of many, who is hymned by recent sages (who is) like a tree with ripe fruit, like a victorious (warrior), skilful in arms.
