ए॒वा त्वामि॑न्द्र वज्रि॒न्नत्र॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वास॑: सु॒हवा॑स॒ ऊमा॑: । म॒हामु॒भे रोद॑सी वृ॒द्धमृ॒ष्वं निरेक॒मिद्वृ॑णते वृत्र॒हत्ये॑ ॥ एवा त्वामिन्द्र वज्रिन्नत्र विश्वे देवासः सुहवास ऊमाः । महामुभे रोदसी वृद्धमृष्वं निरेकमिद्वृणते वृत्रहत्ये ॥

Indra, wielder of the thuderbolt, all the protecting deities who are reverently invoked, and both the heaven and the earth, glorify you who are verily one alone, mighty, vast, and plural asing of aspect, for the destruction of Vṛtra.

english translation

अवा॑सृजन्त॒ जिव्र॑यो॒ न दे॒वा भुव॑: स॒म्राळि॑न्द्र स॒त्ययो॑निः । अह॒न्नहिं॑ परि॒शया॑न॒मर्ण॒: प्र व॑र्त॒नीर॑रदो वि॒श्वधे॑नाः ॥ अवासृजन्त जिव्रयो न देवा भुवः सम्राळिन्द्र सत्ययोनिः । अहन्नहिं परिशयानमर्णः प्र वर्तनीररदो विश्वधेनाः ॥

As elders (send forth their young), so the gods have sent you (against Vṛtra); thence you became, Indra who is the abode of truth, the soverign of the world; you have slain the slumbering Ahi for (the release of) the water and have marked out (the channels of) all the delighting rivers.

english translation

अतृ॑प्णुवन्तं॒ विय॑तमबु॒ध्यमबु॑ध्यमानं सुषुपा॒णमि॑न्द्र । स॒प्त प्रति॑ प्र॒वत॑ आ॒शया॑न॒महिं॒ वज्रे॑ण॒ वि रि॑णा अप॒र्वन् ॥ अतृप्णुवन्तं वियतमबुध्यमबुध्यमानं सुषुपाणमिन्द्र । सप्त प्रति प्रवत आशयानमहिं वज्रेण वि रिणा अपर्वन् ॥

On the day of full moon you have slain with the thunderbolt the insatiable, unnerved, ignorant, unapprehending, slumbering Ahi, obstructing the gliding-downward-flowing (streams).

english translation

अक्षो॑दय॒च्छव॑सा॒ क्षाम॑ बु॒ध्नं वार्ण वात॒स्तवि॑षीभि॒रिन्द्र॑: । दृ॒ळ्हान्यौ॑भ्नादु॒शमा॑न॒ ओजोऽवा॑भिनत्क॒कुभ॒: पर्व॑तानाम् ॥ अक्षोदयच्छवसा क्षाम बुध्नं वार्ण वातस्तविषीभिरिन्द्रः । दृळ्हान्यौभ्नादुशमान ओजोऽवाभिनत्ककुभः पर्वतानाम् ॥

Indra, by his strength, has agitated the exhausted firmament, as wind, by its violent (gusts, agitates) the water; exulting in his strength, he has divided the solid (clouds), and has shattered the peaks of the mountains.

english translation

अ॒भि प्र द॑द्रु॒र्जन॑यो॒ न गर्भं॒ रथा॑ इव॒ प्र य॑युः सा॒कमद्र॑यः । अत॑र्पयो वि॒सृत॑ उ॒ब्ज ऊ॒र्मीन्त्वं वृ॒ताँ अ॑रिणा इन्द्र॒ सिन्धू॑न् ॥ अभि प्र दद्रुर्जनयो न गर्भं रथा इव प्र ययुः साकमद्रयः । अतर्पयो विसृत उब्ज ऊर्मीन्त्वं वृताँ अरिणा इन्द्र सिन्धून् ॥

The Maruts have hastened to you like mother to their young; like chariots they have rushed in along (with you); you, Indra, have satisfied the following streams; you have shattered the clouds; you have set free the obstructed rivers.
