प्र मे॑ विवि॒क्वाँ अ॑विदन्मनी॒षां धे॒नुं चर॑न्तीं॒ प्रयु॑ता॒मगो॑पाम् । स॒द्यश्चि॒द्या दु॑दु॒हे भूरि॑ धा॒सेरिन्द्र॒स्तद॒ग्निः प॑नि॒तारो॑ अस्याः ॥ प्र मे विविक्वाँ अविदन्मनीषां धेनुं चरन्तीं प्रयुतामगोपाम् । सद्यश्चिद्या दुदुहे भूरि धासेरिन्द्रस्तदग्निः पनितारो अस्याः ॥
May the discriminating Indra apprehend my glorification (of the gods), which is (free) as a cow, grazing alone, without a cowherd, one who is readily milked, yielding abundant nourishment, and of whom Agni and Indra (and we), are the commenders.
english translation
इन्द्र॒: सु पू॒षा वृष॑णा सु॒हस्ता॑ दि॒वो न प्री॒ताः श॑श॒यं दु॑दुह्रे । विश्वे॒ यद॑स्यां र॒णय॑न्त दे॒वाः प्र वोऽत्र॑ वसवः सु॒म्नम॑श्याम् ॥ इन्द्रः सु पूषा वृषणा सुहस्ता दिवो न प्रीताः शशयं दुदुह्रे । विश्वे यदस्यां रणयन्त देवाः प्र वोऽत्र वसवः सुम्नमश्याम् ॥
Indra and Pūṣan, the showerers (of benefits) and happy-handed Aśvins, well affected towards us, have milked the (cloud) reposing in heaven, wherefore, Vasus, universal deities, sporting on this (altar), may I here obtain the happiness derived from you.
english translation
या जा॒मयो॒ वृष्ण॑ इ॒च्छन्ति॑ श॒क्तिं न॑म॒स्यन्ती॑र्जानते॒ गर्भ॑मस्मिन् । अच्छा॑ पु॒त्रं धे॒नवो॑ वावशा॒ना म॒हश्च॑रन्ति॒ बिभ्र॑तं॒ वपूं॑षि ॥ या जामयो वृष्ण इच्छन्ति शक्तिं नमस्यन्तीर्जानते गर्भमस्मिन् । अच्छा पुत्रं धेनवो वावशाना महश्चरन्ति बिभ्रतं वपूंषि ॥
The plants that desire for the showerer (Indra) the power (of sending rain) appreciate, when manifest, the embryo (blossom) deposited in him; the kine desirous of reward come to the presence of the calf, invested with many forms.
english translation
अच्छा॑ विवक्मि॒ रोद॑सी सु॒मेके॒ ग्राव्णो॑ युजा॒नो अ॑ध्व॒रे म॑नी॒षा । इ॒मा उ॑ ते॒ मन॑वे॒ भूरि॑वारा ऊ॒र्ध्वा भ॑वन्ति दर्श॒ता यज॑त्राः ॥ अच्छा विवक्मि रोदसी सुमेके ग्राव्णो युजानो अध्वरे मनीषा । इमा उ ते मनवे भूरिवारा ऊर्ध्वा भवन्ति दर्शता यजत्राः ॥
I glorify with praise the beautiful heaven and earth, taking in hand the stones (to express the libation) at the sacrifice, as these your graceful, adorable, and many-blessing rays (Agni) mount up for the good of man.
english translation
या ते॑ जि॒ह्वा मधु॑मती सुमे॒धा अग्ने॑ दे॒वेषू॒च्यत॑ उरू॒ची । तये॒ह विश्वाँ॒ अव॑से॒ यज॑त्रा॒ना सा॑दय पा॒यया॑ चा॒ मधू॑नि ॥ या ते जिह्वा मधुमती सुमेधा अग्ने देवेषूच्यत उरूची । तयेह विश्वाँ अवसे यजत्राना सादय पायया चा मधूनि ॥
With your wide-spreading tongue, Agni, sweet and intelligent, which is renowned amongst the gods, bring hither all the adorable deities for our protection, and give them to drink of the sweet (libations).
