न यस्य॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी न धन्व॒ नान्तरि॑क्षं॒ नाद्र॑य॒: सोमो॑ अक्षाः । यद॑स्य म॒न्युर॑धिनी॒यमा॑नः शृ॒णाति॑ वी॒ळु रु॒जति॑ स्थि॒राणि॑ ॥ न यस्य द्यावापृथिवी न धन्व नान्तरिक्षं नाद्रयः सोमो अक्षाः । यदस्य मन्युरधिनीयमानः शृणाति वीळु रुजति स्थिराणि ॥
Of whom neither heaven and earth, nor the water, nor the firmament, nor the mountains (are theobstructions) for him doth the Soma exude, when his wrath reaching his enemies destroys the strong and breaks the firm.

ज॒घान॑ वृ॒त्रं स्वधि॑ति॒र्वने॑व रु॒रोज॒ पुरो॒ अर॑द॒न्न सिन्धू॑न् । बि॒भेद॑ गि॒रिं नव॒मिन्न कु॒म्भमा गा इन्द्रो॑ अकृणुत स्व॒युग्भि॑: ॥ जघान वृत्रं स्वधितिर्वनेव रुरोज पुरो अरदन्न सिन्धून् । बिभेद गिरिं नवमिन्न कुम्भमा गा इन्द्रो अकृणुत स्वयुग्भिः ॥
(Indra) slew Vṛtra as an axe (cuts down) a tree; he demolished the cities (of the foes), he dug out therivers; he shattered the cloud like a new pitcher; with his allies (the Maruts) he recovered the cattle.

त्वं ह॒ त्यदृ॑ण॒या इ॑न्द्र॒ धीरो॒ऽसिर्न पर्व॑ वृजि॒ना शृ॑णासि । प्र ये मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ धाम॒ युजं॒ न जना॑ मि॒नन्ति॑ मि॒त्रम् ॥ त्वं ह त्यदृणया इन्द्र धीरोऽसिर्न पर्व वृजिना शृणासि । प्र ये मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धाम युजं न जना मिनन्ति मित्रम् ॥
You, Indra, who are wise, punish the guilt (of worshippers); you cut off their sins as a sword (cuts off)the limbs (of victims); (you cut off) the people who (ignorantly) injure the supporting (function) of Mitra, and Varuṇa, (which is) as it were their close friend.

प्र ये मि॒त्रं प्रार्य॒मणं॑ दु॒रेवा॒: प्र सं॒गिर॒: प्र वरु॑णं मि॒नन्ति॑ । न्य१॒॑मित्रे॑षु व॒धमि॑न्द्र॒ तुम्रं॒ वृष॒न्वृषा॑णमरु॒षं शि॑शीहि ॥ प्र ये मित्रं प्रार्यमणं दुरेवाः प्र संगिरः प्र वरुणं मिनन्ति । न्यमित्रेषु वधमिन्द्र तुम्रं वृषन्वृषाणमरुषं शिशीहि ॥
Against those who sinfully offend against Mitra, Aryaman, your companons (the Maruts) and Varuṇa,against these your enemies sharpen, Indra, showerer (of benefits), your rapid showering radiant thunderbolt.

इन्द्रो॑ दि॒व इन्द्र॑ ईशे पृथि॒व्या इन्द्रो॑ अ॒पामिन्द्र॒ इत्पर्व॑तानाम् । इन्द्रो॑ वृ॒धामिन्द्र॒ इन्मेधि॑राणा॒मिन्द्र॒: क्षेमे॒ योगे॒ हव्य॒ इन्द्र॑: ॥ इन्द्रो दिव इन्द्र ईशे पृथिव्या इन्द्रो अपामिन्द्र इत्पर्वतानाम् । इन्द्रो वृधामिन्द्र इन्मेधिराणामिन्द्रः क्षेमे योगे हव्य इन्द्रः ॥
Indra rules over heaven, Indra rules over earth, over the waters, and over the clouds; Indra rules overthe great and over the wise; Indra is to be invoked for the acquisition and preservation (of wealth).
