अस्ते॑व॒ सु प्र॑त॒रं लाय॒मस्य॒न्भूष॑न्निव॒ प्र भ॑रा॒ स्तोम॑मस्मै । वा॒चा वि॑प्रास्तरत॒ वाच॑म॒र्यो नि रा॑मय जरित॒: सोम॒ इन्द्र॑म् ॥ अस्तेव सु प्रतरं लायमस्यन्भूषन्निव प्र भरा स्तोममस्मै । वाचा विप्रास्तरत वाचमर्यो नि रामय जरितः सोम इन्द्रम् ॥
Direct your laudation to him, (Indra), like an archer aiming a larger arrow (to its mark), like a decorator(applying his ornaments); surpass by your praises, sages, the praises of your adversaries; delight Indra worshipper, by the (offering of the) Soma.
