ज॒घ॒न्वाँ इ॑न्द्र मि॒त्रेरू॑ञ्चो॒दप्र॑वृद्धो हरिवो॒ अदा॑शून् । प्र ये पश्य॑न्नर्य॒मणं॒ सचा॒योस्त्वया॑ शू॒र्ता वह॑माना॒ अप॑त्यम् ॥ जघन्वाँ इन्द्र मित्रेरूञ्चोदप्रवृद्धो हरिवो अदाशून् । प्र ये पश्यन्नर्यमणं सचायोस्त्वया शूर्ता वहमाना अपत्यम् ॥
Indra, lord of steeds, invigorated by our animating praise, you have slain those who make you no offerings and disturb your worshippers; but they who look upon you as (their) protector, and are associated for (the presentation of sacrificial) food, obtain from the posterity.
english translation
रप॑त्क॒विरि॑न्द्रा॒र्कसा॑तौ॒ क्षां दा॒सायो॑प॒बर्ह॑णीं कः । कर॑त्ति॒स्रो म॒घवा॒ दानु॑चित्रा॒ नि दु॑र्यो॒णे कुय॑वाचं मृ॒धि श्रे॑त् ॥ रपत्कविरिन्द्रार्कसातौ क्षां दासायोपबर्हणीं कः । करत्तिस्रो मघवा दानुचित्रा नि दुर्योणे कुयवाचं मृधि श्रेत् ॥
The sage praises you, Indra, for the grant of desirable (food), since you have made the earth the bed of the asura; Maghavan has made the three (regions) marvellous by his gifts, and has destroyed for (the prince) Duryoṇi (the asura), Kuyavāca, in combat.
english translation
सना॒ ता त॑ इन्द्र॒ नव्या॒ आगु॒: सहो॒ नभोऽवि॑रणाय पू॒र्वीः । भि॒नत्पुरो॒ न भिदो॒ अदे॑वीर्न॒नमो॒ वध॒रदे॑वस्य पी॒योः ॥ सना ता त इन्द्र नव्या आगुः सहो नभोऽविरणाय पूर्वीः । भिनत्पुरो न भिदो अदेवीर्ननमो वधरदेवस्य पीयोः ॥
The sages have celebrated your everlasting (as well as your) recent (exploits, in achieving which) you have endured many injuries in putting an end to war; verily, you have demolished hostile and undivine cities; you have bowed down the thunderbolt of the undivine asura.
english translation
त्वं धुनि॑रिन्द्र॒ धुनि॑मतीॠ॒णोर॒पः सी॒रा न स्रव॑न्तीः । प्र यत्स॑मु॒द्रमति॑ शूर॒ पर्षि॑ पा॒रया॑ तु॒र्वशं॒ यदुं॑ स्व॒स्ति ॥ त्वं धुनिरिन्द्र धुनिमतीॠणोरपः सीरा न स्रवन्तीः । प्र यत्समुद्रमति शूर पर्षि पारया तुर्वशं यदुं स्वस्ति ॥
You, Indra, are the terrifier (of your foes); you have made the trembling waters overspread (the earth) like flowing rivers; but, hero, when you fill the ocean you have protected in their well-being Turvaśa and Yadu.
english translation
त्वम॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र वि॒श्वध॑ स्या अवृ॒कत॑मो न॒रां नृ॑पा॒ता । स नो॒ विश्वा॑सां स्पृ॒धां स॑हो॒दा वि॒द्यामे॒षं वृ॒जनं॑ जी॒रदा॑नुम् ॥ त्वमस्माकमिन्द्र विश्वध स्या अवृकतमो नरां नृपाता । स नो विश्वासां स्पृधां सहोदा विद्यामेषं वृजनं जीरदानुम् ॥
Be you, Indra, at all times our especial defender; the preserver of our people, the bestower of strength upon all these our emulous (followers); that we may obtain food, strength, and long life.
