यः शूरे॑भि॒र्हव्यो॒ यश्च॑ भी॒रुभि॒र्यो धाव॑द्भिर्हू॒यते॒ यश्च॑ जि॒ग्युभि॑: । इन्द्रं॒ यं विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒भि सं॑द॒धुर्म॒रुत्व॑न्तं स॒ख्याय॑ हवामहे ॥ यः शूरेभिर्हव्यो यश्च भीरुभिर्यो धावद्भिर्हूयते यश्च जिग्युभिः । इन्द्रं यं विश्वा भुवनाभि संदधुर्मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
Who is to be invoked by the brave and by the timid, by the vanquished and by victors, and whom all eings plural ce before them (in their ites); we invoke to become our friend, Indra, attended by the Maruts.
english translation
रु॒द्राणा॑मेति प्र॒दिशा॑ विचक्ष॒णो रु॒द्रेभि॒र्योषा॑ तनुते पृ॒थु ज्रय॑: । इन्द्रं॑ मनी॒षा अ॒भ्य॑र्चति श्रु॒तं म॒रुत्व॑न्तं स॒ख्याय॑ हवामहे ॥ रुद्राणामेति प्रदिशा विचक्षणो रुद्रेभिर्योषा तनुते पृथु ज्रयः । इन्द्रं मनीषा अभ्यर्चति श्रुतं मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
The radiant Indra proceeds (along the firmament) with the manifestation of the Rudras; through the Rudras, speech spreads with more expansive celerity, and praise glorifies the renowned Indra; him, attended by the Maruts, we invoke to become our friend.

यद्वा॑ मरुत्वः पर॒मे स॒धस्थे॒ यद्वा॑व॒मे वृ॒जने॑ मा॒दया॑से । अत॒ आ या॑ह्यध्व॒रं नो॒ अच्छा॑ त्वा॒या ह॒विश्च॑कृमा सत्यराधः ॥ यद्वा मरुत्वः परमे सधस्थे यद्वावमे वृजने मादयासे । अत आ याह्यध्वरं नो अच्छा त्वाया हविश्चकृमा सत्यराधः ॥
Attended by the winds, giver of true wealth, whether you may be plural ased (to dwell) in a stately mansion or in a lowly dwelling, come to our sacrifice; desirous of your presence, we offer you oblations.

त्वा॒येन्द्र॒ सोमं॑ सुषुमा सुदक्ष त्वा॒या ह॒विश्च॑कृमा ब्रह्मवाहः । अधा॑ नियुत्व॒: सग॑णो म॒रुद्भि॑र॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञे ब॒र्हिषि॑ मादयस्व ॥ त्वायेन्द्र सोमं सुषुमा सुदक्ष त्वाया हविश्चकृमा ब्रह्मवाहः । अधा नियुत्वः सगणो मरुद्भिरस्मिन्यज्ञे बर्हिषि मादयस्व ॥
Desirous of you, Indra, who are possessed of excellent strenghth, we pour forth to you libations desirous of you, who are obtained by prayer, we offer you oblations; therefore, do you, who are possessed of horses, sit down with plural asure upon the sacred grass, attended by the Maruts, at this sacrifice.

मा॒दय॑स्व॒ हरि॑भि॒र्ये त॑ इन्द्र॒ वि ष्य॑स्व॒ शिप्रे॒ वि सृ॑जस्व॒ धेने॑ । आ त्वा॑ सुशिप्र॒ हर॑यो वहन्तू॒शन्ह॒व्यानि॒ प्रति॑ नो जुषस्व ॥ मादयस्व हरिभिर्ये त इन्द्र वि ष्यस्व शिप्रे वि सृजस्व धेने । आ त्वा सुशिप्र हरयो वहन्तूशन्हव्यानि प्रति नो जुषस्व ॥
Rejoice, Indra, with the steeds who are of your nature; open your jaws, set wide your throat (to drink Soma); let your horses bring you, who have a handsome chin, (hither), and, benignant towards us, be plural ased by our oblations.
