स तं निक्षिप्य भवने पूज्यमान पुनः पुनः । दिशः सर्वाः समासाद्य प्राप्नोत्याहारमुत्तमम् ॥ 7-63-26 ॥
"he (Lavana), having deposited it in his dwelling, where it is worshipped again and again, ranges over all the quarters and obtains excellent food."
english translation
यदा तु युद्धमाकाङ्क्षन् कश्चिदेनं समाह्वयेत् । तदा शूलं गहीत्वा तं भस्म रक्षः करोति हि ॥ 7-63-27 ॥
"But whenever anyone, desiring battle, challenges him, then the rakshasa, taking up the spear, reduces that one to ashes."
english translation
स त्वं पुरुषशार्दूल तमायुधविनाकृतम् । अप्रविष्टं पुरं पूर्वं द्वारि तिष्ठ धृतायुधः ॥ 7-63-28 ॥
"Therefore you, O tiger among men, while he is yet deprived of his weapon and has not entered the city, stand at the gate, weapon in hand."
english translation
अप्रविष्टं च भवनं युद्धाय पुरुषर्षभ । आह्वयेथा महाबाहो ततो हन्तासि राक्षसम् ॥ 7-63-29 ॥
O bull among men, O mighty-armed one, when he has not yet entered his dwelling you should challenge him to battle; then you shall be able to slay that Rakshasa.
english translation
अन्यथा क्रियमाणे तु अवध्यः स भविष्यति । यदि त्वेवं कृते वीर विनाशमुपयास्यति ॥ 7-63-30 ॥
But if it is done otherwise, he will become unslayable; yet if it is done in this manner, O hero, he shall meet with destruction.
