ततः शरैः शोणितमांसरूषितैर्युगान्तवैश्वानरतुल्यविग्रहैः । निशाचराः सम्परिवार्य माधवं वरायुधैर्निर्बिभिदुः सहस्रशः ॥ 7-6-69 ॥
Then the night-rangers, surrounding Madhava on every side, pierced him by the thousand with their excellent weapons, arrows smeared with blood and flesh, whose forms were like the fire of Vaishvanara at the end of an age.
