स त्वमस्मद्धितार्थाय जहि तान्मधुसूदन । शरणं त्वां वयं प्राप्ता गतिर्भव सुरेश्वर ॥ 7-6-16 ॥

Do you therefore, for our welfare, slay them, O slayer of Madhu. We have come to you for refuge; be our recourse, O Lord of the gods.

english translation

चक्रकृत्तास्यकमलान्निवेदय यमाय वै । भयेष्वभयदो ऽस्माकं नान्यो ऽस्ति भवता विना ॥ 7-6-17 ॥

With your discus, sever their lotus-faces and offer them up to Yama; in times of danger there is for us no other giver of safety apart from you.

english translation

राक्षसान्समरे दुष्टान्सानुबन्धान्मदोद्धतान् । नुदं त्वं नो भयं देव नीहारमिव भास्करः ॥ 7-6-18 ॥

Dispel you our fear of the Rakshasas, wicked in battle, with their kinsmen, swollen with arrogance, O God, as the sun dispels the mist.

english translation

इत्येवं दैवतैरुक्तो देवदेवो जनार्दनः । अभयं भयदो ऽरीणां दत्त्वा देवानुवाच ह ॥ 7-6-19 ॥

Thus addressed by the gods, Janardana, the God of gods, the bestower of fear upon his foes, granting them freedom from fear, spoke to the gods.

english translation

सुकेशं राक्षसं जाने ईशानवरदर्पितम् । तांश्चास्य तनयाञ्जाने येषां ज्येष्ठः स माल्यवान् ॥ 7-6-20 ॥

I know the Rakshasa Sukesha, made arrogant by the boon of Ishana; and I know those sons of his, of whom Malyavan is the eldest.
