एतमेव समुद्योगं पुरस्कृत्य महर्षयः । गच्छध्वं शरणं विष्णुं हनिष्यति स तान्प्रभुः ॥ 7-6-11 ॥

Putting forward this very plan, O great sages, go and take refuge with Vishnu; that Lord shall slay them.

english translation

ततस्तु जयशब्देन प्रतिनन्द्य महेश्वरम् । विष्णोः समीपमाजग्मुर्निशाचरभयार्दिताः ॥ 7-6-12 ॥

Then, having gladdened the Great Lord with shouts of victory, they who were afflicted by fear of the night-rangers came into the presence of Vishnu.

english translation

शङ्खचक्रधरं देवं प्रणम्य बहुमान्य च । ऊचुः सम्भ्रान्तवद्वाक्यं सुकेशतनयान्प्रति ॥ 7-6-13 ॥

Bowing to the God who bears the conch and the discus and honoring him greatly, they spoke, as if in agitation, words concerning the sons of Sukesha.

english translation

सुकेशतनयैर्देव त्रिभिस्त्रेताग्निसन्निभैः । आक्रम्य वरदानेन स्थानान्यपहृतानि नः ॥ 7-6-14 ॥

O God, by the three sons of Sukesha, who resemble the threefold sacrificial fire, our abodes have been assailed and seized by virtue of a boon they were granted.

english translation

लङ्का नाम पुरी दुर्गा त्रिकूटशिखरे स्थिता । तत्र स्थिताः प्रबाधन्ते सर्वान्नः क्षणदाचराः ॥ 7-6-15 ॥

There is a city named Lanka, hard to assail, set upon the peak of Mount Trikuta; established there, those night-rangers oppress us all.
