वायुप्रकोपाद्भूतानि निरुच्छ्वासानि सर्वतः । सन्धिभिर्भिद्यमानैश्च काष्ठभूतानि जज्ञिरे ॥ 7-35-51 ॥
Through the Wind's wrath, all beings everywhere were left without breath, and with their joints splitting apart they became as stiff as logs of wood.
english translation
निःस्वाध्यायवषट्कारं निष्क्रियं धर्मवर्जितम् । वायुप्रकोपात्ऺत्रैलोक्यं निरयस्थमिवाभवत् ॥ 7-35-52 ॥
Through the Wind's wrath the three worlds, bereft of Vedic recitation and the cry of vashat, devoid of all activity and forsaken by dharma, became like a place of perdition.
english translation
ततः प्रजाः सगन्धर्वाः सदेवासुरमानुषाः । प्रजापतिं समाधावन्दुःखिताश्च सुखेच्छया ॥ 7-35-53 ॥
Then the creatures, together with the gandharvas, the gods, the asuras, and humans, afflicted and longing for relief, ran to Prajapati.
english translation
ऊचुः प्राञ्जलयो देवा महोदरनिभोदराः । त्वया नु भगवन्सृष्टाः प्रजानाथ चतुर्विधाः ॥ 7-35-54 ॥
With joined palms the gods, their bellies hollow as great caverns, spoke: 'O blessed one, O lord of creatures, by you were the four kinds of beings created.'
english translation
त्वया दत्तो ऽयमस्माकमायुषः पवनः पतिः । सो ऽस्मान्प्राणेश्वरो भूत्वा कस्मादेषो ऽद्य सत्तम ॥ 7-35-55 ॥
'By you was this Wind, the lord of our life-breath, granted to us. He, having become the master of our vital airs, why has he today, O most virtuous one,'
