शालिशूकनिभाभासं प्रासूतामुं तदा ऽञ्जना । फलान्याहर्तुकामा वै निष्क्रान्ता गहनेचरा ॥ 7-35-21 ॥
Anjana, a ranger of the dense forest, then brought forth this one, who shone like the awn of a rice-grain, and went out desiring to gather fruits.
english translation
एष मातुर्वियोगाच्च क्षुधया च भृशार्दितः । रुरोद शिशुरत्यर्थं शिशुः शरवणे यथा ॥ 7-35-22 ॥
Tormented sorely by separation from his mother and by hunger, this infant cried out exceedingly, like the infant born in the reed-thicket.
english translation
तदोद्यन्तं विवस्वन्तं जपापुष्पोत्करोपमम् । ददर्श फललोभाच्च ह्युत्पपात रविं प्रति ॥ 7-35-23 ॥
Then he saw the rising sun, which resembled a cluster of hibiscus flowers, and out of greed for a fruit he leapt up toward the sun.
english translation
बालार्काभिमुखो बालो बालार्क इव मूर्तिमान् । ग्रहीतुकामो बालार्कं प्लवते ऽम्बरमध्यगः ॥ 7-35-24 ॥
The child, facing the young morning sun and himself like the young sun made manifest, wishing to seize the young sun, flew up into the midst of the sky.
english translation
एतस्मिन्प्लवमाने तु शिशुभावे हनूमति । देवदानवयक्षाणां विस्मयः सुमहानभूत् ॥ 7-35-25 ॥
As Hanuman in his infant state was thus flying, there arose a very great astonishment among the gods, the danavas, and the yakshas.
