Ramayana
इक्ष्वाकुपरिभावित्वाद्वचो वक्ष्यामि राक्षस । यदि दत्तं यदि हुतं यदि मे सुकृतं तपः ॥ यदि गुप्ताः प्रजाः सम्यक्तदा सत्यं वचो ऽस्तु मे ॥ 7-19-29 ॥
By virtue of my standing in the line of Ikshvaku I shall speak a word, O Rakshasa: if I have given gifts, if I have offered oblations, if my penance has been well performed, and if my subjects have been rightly protected, then let my word be true.
