प्रहस्तादभिसंश्रुत्य देवो वैश्रवणो वचः । प्रत्युवाच प्रहस्तं तं वाक्यं वाक्यविशारदः ॥ 7-11-31 ॥
Having heard out Prahasta's words in full, the god Vaishravana (Kubera), skilled in speech, replied to Prahasta with these words.
english translation
दत्ता ममेयं पित्रा तु लङ्का शून्या निशाचरैः । निवासिते च मे यक्षैर्दानमानादिभिर्गुणैः ॥ 7-11-32 ॥
This Lanka was given to me by my father, emptied of its night-roaming demons, and I have settled it with yakshas endowed with such virtues as generosity and honor.
english translation
ब्रूहि गच्छ दशग्रीवं पुरं राज्यं च यन्मम । तवाप्येतन्महाबाहो भुङ्क्ष्व राज्यमकण्टकम् ॥ 7-11-33 ॥
Go and say to Dashagriva (Ravana): the city and the kingdom that are mine are now yours as well, O mighty-armed one; enjoy this realm free of all thorns.
english translation
एवमुक्त्वा धनाध्यक्षो जगाम पितुरन्तिकम् ॥ 7-11-34 ॥
Having spoken thus, the lord of wealth (Kubera) went to the presence of his father.

अभिवाद्य गुरुं प्राह रावणस्य यदीप्सितम् । एष तात दशग्रीवो दूतं प्रेषितवान्मम ॥ 7-11-35 ॥
Having saluted his elder, he told him what Ravana desired: "This Dashagriva, father, has sent a messenger to me."
