तत्र ध्यानजमनाशयम् ॥४-६॥
Among the various Chittas, that which is attained by Dhyana is desireless.

पहले के सूत्रों में कहे गए चित्तों में से ध्यान से उत्पन्न चित्त ही सभी आश्रयों (कर्म संस्कारों से रहित) होता है ।

कर्माशुक्लाकृष्णं योगिनस्त्रिविधमितरेषाम् ॥४-७॥
The karma of the yogi is neither white nor black. The karma of others is of three kinds: white, black, or mixed.

योगी व्यक्तियों के कर्म ( कार्य ) पाप व पुण्य से रहित अर्थात निष्काम कर्म होते हैं । अन्य व्यक्तियों के अलग से तीन प्रकार के कार्य होते हैं । शुक्ल (शुभ )कर्म, कृष्ण (अशुभ) कर्म , शुक्ल-कृष्ण ( मिश्रित ) कर्म.

ततस्तद्विपाकानुगुणानामेवाभिव्यक्तिर्वासनानाम् ॥४-८॥
Apart from the Yogis, there are three other types of karma. According to those deeds, a person gets their fruits and enjoyments in the form of desires i.e. Sanskaras (Latent impressions).

जो योगियों के अतिरिक्त अन्य तीन प्रकार के कर्म होते हैं । उन कर्मों के अनुसार ही व्यक्ति को उनके फल भोगों की प्राप्ति वासनाओं अर्थात संस्कारों के रूप में होती है।

जातिदेशकालव्यवहितानामप्यानन्तर्यं स्मृतिसंस्कारयोरेकरूपत्वात् ॥४-९॥
There is a relation of cause and effect even though separated by class, locality and time because memory and impressions are the same in form.

अलग- अलग देश,काल, जाति समूहों में जन्म लेने पर भी व्यक्ति की वैसी ही स्मृति व कर्म संस्कार बनते रहते हैं । जो बीज अथवा सूक्ष्म रूप में उसके साथ ही अलगे जन्म में भी साथ चले जाते हैं ।

तासामनादित्वं चाशिषो नित्यत्वात् ॥४-१०॥
Becasue of the continuity of the will to survive, those lustful latent impressions are also going from eternal time.

जिजीविषा अर्थात जीवित रहने की इच्छा की सतत विद्यमानता होने से उन वासना रूपी संस्कारों का प्रवाह आदिकाल से ही निरन्तर चलता रहता है ।
