समस्यैव यदा पार्ष्णिः पादस्याभ्यन्तरे भवेत् । बहिः पार्श्वस्थितोऽङ्गुष्ठस्त्र्यश्रपादस्तु स स्मृतः ॥ २७१॥

When the heel is exactly at the inner side of the foot, the big toe placed on the outer side, that is known as the “tryashrapada” (three-clawed foot).

त्यक्त्वा (कृत्वा?) समपदं स्थानमश्वक्रान्ते तथैव च । स्याद्विक्लवादिष्वर्थेषु त्र्यश्रः पादो यथाविधिः ॥ २७२॥

Leaving or placing the feet evenly in the posture called Ashvakranta, the tryashra foot is used appropriately in cases like lameness and others.

अस्यैव समपादस्य पार्ष्णिरभ्यन्तरे भवेत् । त्र्यश्रपादः स विज्ञेयः स्थानकादिषु संश्रयः ॥ २७३॥

For the same evenly placed foot, the heel is inside; this is known as the tryashra foot, used in postures like standing.

उत्क्षिप्ता तु भवेत्पार्ष्णिः प्रसृतोङ्गुष्ठकस्तथा । अङ्गुल्यश्चाञ्चिताः सर्वा पादेऽग्रतलसञ्चरः ॥ २७४॥

The heel is lifted, the big toe is stretched out, and all the toes are bent upwards—this is called agratalasañcara (movement on the front part of the foot).

तोदननिकुट्टने स्थितनिशुम्भने भूमिताडने भ्रमणे । विक्षेपविविधरेचकपार्ष्णिकृतागमनमेतेन ॥ २७५॥

This movement is used in actions like pressing the ground with the heel, stamping firmly, walking with a limp, moving about, throwing, various types of Recaka (foot) movements, and stepping with the outer part of the heel.
