Weeping should be represented on the stage by rubbing the eyes and shedding tears, and Loss of Consciousness by inaction, motionlessness, imperceptible breathing and [finally] by falling on the ground.

Weakness, doubt, envy, fatigue, restlessness, sleep, slumber, and dissimulation are the emotional states traditionally associated with the Comic Sentiment.
