सन्निपातसमं ग्राह्यो जर्जरो विघ्नजर्जरः । प्रदक्षिणाद्यो विज्ञेयो जर्जरग्रहणान्तकः ॥८१॥

The eclipse should be considered equal to the conjunction. The one with the holes is the one that represents obstacles. The one with the clockwise movement is known as the destroyer of the eclipse.

तृतीयः परिवर्तस्तु विज्ञेयो वै द्रुते लये । गृहीत्वा जर्जरं त्वष्टौ कला जप्यं प्रयोजयेत् ॥ ८२॥

वामवेधं ततः कुर्याद्विक्षेपं दक्षिणस्य च । ततः पञ्चपदीं चैव गच्छेत्तु कुतपोन्मुखः ॥ ८३॥
