पाठ्यं नाट्यं तथा गेयं चित्रवादित्रमेव च । वेदमन्त्रार्थवचनैः समं ह्येतद् भविष्यति ॥ २६॥
The recitation of the text, the performance of drama, the singing, and the playing of musical instruments, when accompanied by the words of Vedic mantras and their meanings, will together bring about the desired outcome.
What I have heard from Lord Shankara, the Supreme Deity, is that the chanting, the singing, and the playing of instruments, performed with sacred purity from the bath and repeated a thousand times, will be sanctified.
एवं पूजाधिकारार्थं पूर्वरङ्गः कृतो मया । नानास्तुतिकृतैर्वाक्यैर्देवताभ्यर्चनेन च ॥ २९॥
Thus, for the purpose of worship, I have performed the preliminary ritual (Purvaranga) with various prayers, words of praise, and by the worship of deities.
Wherever the greeting is respectful and proper, in that circle of performance (Rangamandala), the purity is established, as prescribed by the best of Brahmins.
