ये पूर्वमङ्गुलिकृताः प्रवेशान्नि(शनि)ष्क्रामसञ्ज्ञया गदिताः । ते सर्वे कर्तव्या मध्ये त्वासारिते तज्ज्ञैः ॥ १६१॥
The Praveśa, Vikṣepa and Niṣkrāma made with fingers, which have been mentioned before, should all be observed by the experts in the medium Āsārita.

ye pUrvamaGgulikRtAH pravezAnni(zani)SkrAmasaJjJayA gaditAH । te sarve kartavyA madhye tvAsArite tajjJaiH ॥ 161॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ ज्येष्ठे तु कर्तव्यं शम्यातालकलान्वितम् । शतत्रयोऽथ निष्क्रामो विक्षेपोऽथ प्रवेशनम् । अङ्गुलीनां तु कर्तव्यं कलामानं चतुष्कलम् ॥ १६२॥
In the long Asarita, the composition should include Samya and Tala with the proper number of Kalas. The movements of the fingers—Nishkrama (withdrawal), Vikṣepa (throwing out), and Praveshana (entering)—should each consist of four Kalas.
english translation
atha jyeSThe tu kartavyaM zamyAtAlakalAnvitam । zatatrayo'tha niSkrAmo vikSepo'tha pravezanam । aGgulInAM tu kartavyaM kalAmAnaM catuSkalam ॥ 162॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपूर्वं शम्या कार्या चतुष्कलोऽन्यो भवेत्ततस्तालः । शम्या चतुष्कला स्याद्विकलस्तालस्तथा चैव ॥ १६३॥
First, the Samyā of four Kalās should be performed, and the other Tala will follow accordingly. Similarly, the Samyā of four Kalās is to be done with the Dvi-Kalā Tala as well.
