अथ ज्येष्ठे तु कर्तव्यं शम्यातालकलान्वितम् । शतत्रयोऽथ निष्क्रामो विक्षेपोऽथ प्रवेशनम् । अङ्गुलीनां तु कर्तव्यं कलामानं चतुष्कलम् ॥ १६२॥
In the long Asarita, the composition should include Samya and Tala with the proper number of Kalas. The movements of the fingers—Nishkrama (withdrawal), Vikṣepa (throwing out), and Praveshana (entering)—should each consist of four Kalas.
