पूर्वं शम्या कार्या चतुष्कलोऽन्यो भवेत्ततस्तालः । शम्या चतुष्कला स्याद्विकलस्तालस्तथा चैव ॥ १६३॥

First, the Samyā of four Kalās should be performed, and the other Tala will follow accordingly. Similarly, the Samyā of four Kalās is to be done with the Dvi-Kalā Tala as well.

english translation

pUrvaM zamyA kAryA catuSkalo'nyo bhavettatastAlaH । zamyA catuSkalA syAdvikalastAlastathA caiva ॥ 163॥
