स्वभावाभिनयोपेतं नानास्त्रीपुरुषाश्रयम् । यदीदृशं भवेन्नाट्यं लोकधर्मी तु सा स्मृता ॥ ७१॥
The performance of drama that is characterized by natural expression, involving various men and women, and aligns with the conventions of society, is remembered as the righteous form of drama.

svabhAvAbhinayopetaM nAnAstrIpuruSAzrayam । yadIdRzaM bhavennATyaM lokadharmI tu sA smRtA ॥ 71॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतिवाक्यक्रियोपेतमतिसत्त्वातिभावकम् । लीलाङ्गहाराभिनयं नाट्यलक्षणलक्षितम् ॥ ७२॥
The drama characterized by exaggerated speech, extreme emotions, and playful gestures, which is marked by the features of theatrical expression, is recognized as an extraordinary form of drama.

ativAkyakriyopetamatisattvAtibhAvakam । lIlAGgahArAbhinayaM nATyalakSaNalakSitam ॥ 72॥

A drama that is accompanied by vocal ornamentation and is based on the support of an unstable or disturbed person, is considered to be in the domain of theatrical tradition.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptलोकप्रसिद्धं द्रव्यन्तु यदा नाट्ये प्रयुज्यते । मूर्तिमत् साभिलाषञ्च नाट्यधर्मी तु सा स्मृता ॥ ७४॥
When a commonly known substance is used in a drama, which is tangible and associated with a particular desire or intention, it is considered to be in accordance with the theatrical tradition.

lokaprasiddhaM dravyantu yadA nATye prayujyate । mUrtimat sAbhilASaJca nATyadharmI tu sA smRtA ॥ 74॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआसन्नोक्तन्तु यद्वाक्यं न शृण्वन्ति परस्परम् । अनुक्तं श्रूयते वाक्यं नाट्यधर्मी तु सा स्मृता ॥ ७५॥
When a statement is made but not heard by the other party, and another statement is heard without being spoken, it is considered in accordance with the principles of drama.
